I loaned my girlfriend's sister $20 more yesterday & I paid for the 3 of us to eat out; Cass' sister will pay me back $10 more for her meal. I also bought Greyhound bus tickets so I can go back down to Louisiana to see my family. It's two days traveling each way. I'll be leaving only July 22nd & getting back home of August 8th.

A throw pillow with a cute design on it, depicting a bicycle with flowers in the basket. Only £1!

It caught my eye in the pound store (same thing as a dollar store) when I was there today buying my bird food. I ride a pushbike so this is a cute thing for my couch. The only thing better would be if it had a bird perched on the handlebars. Maybe I'll embroider one.

Pound stores tend to have higher-quality merchandise than dollar stores.

In the NYC area, there are many more 99-cent stores than dollar stores, though places like Dollar Tree are making inroads.

You might be right -- I remember only once stepping inside either a dollar store or strictly speaking a 99 cent store and my first impression wasn't good, so I never frequented them at all.

By contrast, the first time I went inside a pound store in the UK on the other hand, it did seem higher quality and now you can't drag me out of my nearest one! Seriously I love my local Poundland, I'm always going there. They even have a book section albeit very, very small, but I've found incredible finds book-wise in that place.

^^^^I knew you are a creative person. and I use pureed seaweed in the same manner as some of your countrypersons might use vegemite or marmite, as a condiment, in this case on rice.

^ Sounds interesting.
I like the taste of seaweed, so I think I'd like that.
Is it just seaweed or are other ingredients added?

I'm not sure if it's available here, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
