^^ Baking powder is what you want, rather than baking soda/bicarbonate of soda

I sub it all the time.

If you have Dr Oetker in Norway though, they do cream of tartar sachets.

Love is sometimes confusing.

Froya, you'll be glad to know I painted my window moldings white.
I used a gloss enamel so it should be easy to clean.
My walls are Asian Ivory or China White, depending on if you look at the new or old colour chart.
I have Secret White (a creamy off-white) for my cabinets (that took some deciding).
There's been a LOT of sanding involved.
I just realized I can have a really dramatic bench top with all these neutrals going on.

Gahhh, Laura is still just as cute when she's all grown up! I hope I end up like her when I'm her age.

Also I'm so bored right now, this has to be the longest road trip known to man. 8O

Wow! The line you quoted there is the line I read, and you even quoted it in Norwegian 8O :P

Yes, I meant baking powder. When I put the word baking soda into google translate, baking powder in Norwegian is what it was translated into.

I know we have some Dr Oetker products in Norway, I will check out my grocery.

Dcj: Yes, you are probably right. I will not add TOO much baking soda/powder.

Midnightstar: Often, when my family goes on road trips, we are in the car for anywhere from an hour to three hours to five hours.

And for the record Froya, you did a lot of work on your new apartment, your work is probably more measurable then mine though I love my hardware cluster

Thank you!

I didn't do much of the practical work myself at all. You seem to be spending much time on your passion(s), I spend too much time restless on the couch. Maybe I can discover a new passion, or shall we say special interest :D

He he :P Sounds like it's looking more and more like my kitchen. Well your window mouldings probably is whiter then the other colours, and that looks better then mine.

So you are really getting close to the end result now :)

Will you post a picture?

When my family goes on road trips I usually bring stuff to do that's "portable" like my iPod, 3DS and books. I live in New England and we drive down to North Carolina sometimes to visit family. I love the car ride down. I bring stuff so I don't get bored. I like my iPod and earphones so I can listen to music.

^^Oh. Never mind, then.
I typically bring my 3DS and MP3 player, but I can't read in the car.

No, I'm not really close to the end.
I'm an extremely anal painter. :?
It has to be perfect.
I spent about five days just scraping out the old caulking and redoing it.
And no one can help me.
I get toey because I need to be in control of everything.
And don't rush me either.
I'm very slow and precise.
Yes, this could take a while.

This is the wall colour beside the white (there's a bit of shadow):

I've certainly been on my fair share of long road trips, when my mom lived ~250 miles north I used to drive me and my brother brother up there and back regularly spending a week up there every month, at an average speed of about 80 miles per hour that makes for a 3 hour drive each way. I still can't decide if being the driver makes it more or less boring, on one hand I do have something to do but on the other hand I can't do anything else no matter how boring it gets. If I am the passenger then I usually play some game on my phone like Space Agency (*space obsession intensifies*).
