The other day I watched a video of TV commercials from the 70s that have aged poorly. One ad was for a brand of pantyhose called "Sexy Legs" and they showed women accidentally getting their panties exposed in public, much to the delight of the men around them, and the ladies are acting only slightly embarrassed instead of mortified and fearful.

I found this a bit odd for a commercial from the 70s, since second-wave feminism was pretty much at its peak during that decade.

Today being May Day, I happened upon a seemingly improvised protest at a popular park
near my house earlier today.

The small number of people "in attendance" were primarily old people, but I spent some time with them and asked if I could help them by any means possible. The "leader" told me that attending was good enough.
