what with the postal service being what it is these days, I hope it won't get returned (no courtesy of me) again!
If you have my luck they'll leave it next to your door which is rite near the sidewalk & it'll get stolen by someone walking by. Or you'll get a notice to pick it up at the post-office & the post-office won't have it when you go there. This sh!t is only going to get worse 1ce Trump guts their funding.

he and the banana republicans wants to return us to the days of private messengers and couriers.

The condescension of a certain medical professional who earns far too much money to justify her ineptitude.

(Post something happy: After nine years of obligatory visits, I don't have to see her again!! !! !)

If you're in the States try signing up for Informed Delivery with the USPS - here is a link to their main page

https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/p ... art.action

It's a remarkable service; provides digital images of your incoming mail and alerts about incoming packages (as long as the packages are dropped off by USPS, even if they start out with some other service). If you're going to get mail and you don't sign in that day, they'll email you the info, including the images of your mail.

it is ESSENTIAL for those of us with dodgy mail service and/or live in areas with high incidence of mail theft. it saved my bacon more than once, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! :star:

In re: unhappiness:

- getting a lot less done than I'd wanted to, today
- incredibly rude checkout clerk experience at an otherwise preferred grocery store. I am not a "may I speak with the manager" type, but I've allowed myself a 24 hour cooling off period, and if I'm still as ticked about this tomorrow as I am today, I *will* be that type WRT this incident.

The fact that people think it's wrong for women to take any form of birth control but those same people think it's perfectaly OK for old guys to take pills for their erections & those old guys encourage the women to get an abortion if she get's pregnant while saying that abortion is wrong. Sh!t like this is the reason I'm a feminist.

Feminist allies like yourself are the reason I still have hope for the human race :-)

Whaddaya know, there actually IS! It's the former Eastern Bloc, apparently. No, I had no idea.

I'm gonna go back now and see if it still makes sense as originally defined...

[edit in: oh hell, ouch, it's a Cold War construct (I had thought it was economic/development construct). As such, I think it's a lot more relevant today than it was prior to November 2016.

Which makes me REALLY unhappy, thus avoiding a thread-jack at this point.]

A friend told me her cat is very sick and possibly dying. I've been through that many times, so I knew how she must feel.

I suddenly miss my maternal grandmother more than words can say :( I usually spend all of my time thinking about my father's side of the family but I imagined my grandmother's perfume today and nearly burst into tears :(

She passed away in June, 2001.
