No, I mean a sitcom that was on in the 90s. This guy finds a passageway back to world war 2. He gets a girlfriend/wife there but he has a wife in the 90s too. And he spends the time pretending to be a spy/songwriter who wrote all the 60s songs and songs after that. He started out in the 90s as a TV repairman then became an antiques dealer specialising in very fresh looking world war 2 memorabilia.

I really liked it because first I really liked world war two (that sounds wrong, I mean I was obsessed with the period) and then I got into time travel.

It got increasingly more weird as it went on. A lot of us want it brought back though, I think because of the quality of writing/characters and because period type things are fun to watch for the look of them.

I suspect they used that song as the theme tune though. I always assumed it was a 1940s song but possibly it's that one as 40s and 50s music sounds similar to me.

I got home with the shopping to find the fridge had decided to start defrosting the ice box all over the kitchen floor

so I used the knife to chop of some more of the ice cus it was pushing the fridge door off made a spot in front of

the cooker (with wrapping paper) that's dry so I can cook the dinner. It's going fine but I've found that was my

last clean knife and I've already dried my feet and slippers with the hairdryer so I don't want to get them wet

again paddling through the puddles washing up so I'm going to try eating my stir-fry with peppered mackerel with

a fork and a spoon. I'll let you know how it goes.

^ :D That sounds like I think she follows you to the toilet, and sleeps on the end of your bed like Queen Victoria.

I meant is she living with you permanently?

Yes, mum is here permanently.

She is cool and we get on very well.

Just a shame she got so old and fragile.

I love time travel! My favourite time travel books are Time And Time Again, Timeline and 11.22.63.

Time And Time Again is by Ben Elton and is about someone going back to the start of WW1 to stop Franz Ferdinand being killed. Its fantastic.

At the beach today there was a café (like a burger stand) and they were selling pot noodles for £2 as if it was a proper meal. I can get a pot noodle for 50p from Iceland and I wouldn't want to eat one at a café...

Well, all I saw anyone eating was ice-creams. But I got there at about 3 o'clock. Still don't know why they would sell when there were burgers and chips on the menu.
