No, I'm a monkey, you ape!

Seriously, though, how does one tell the difference? Educate me, you young ones. 8)

MONKEY, never heard of that book, but it sounds like a good book to read ... when I have the time. ;)

Monkeys have tails, apes don't

Except for the Barbary macaque, which is a monkey without a tail.

I'm confused now, why isn't that an ape?

And what would happen if a monkey lost it's tail? It surely wouldn't become an ape....

Well its tail is that small it may as well just not be there. It isn't an ape because it still fits the criteria for a monkey, for example apes can rotate their shoulders and monkeys can't because their skeletons are more akin to dogs or cats. And also monkey brains are about half the size of ape brains.

Ahh, I never knew that about the shoulder rotating. That's interesting. Better way of classifying them than just about the tails.

Oh, yeah, also, you're smelly and vile etc. :P

You are a fart cloud, floating here and there and causing those around you to gag at the stench. 8)

It certainly seems that way at the moment, for some reason I do seem to be upsetting a lot of folk....

(Another sweet piece of poetry by the way. Heartwarming.)

It's a good look, MONKEY, it'll keep you nice and cool in the summer heat anyway.
Might even start a fashion craze.

So it will be like going back to the 1980s new romantic scene then?
