Two things made me unhappy. I'll 1st post the one that I'm sure is frustrating some other members which is that we are NOT getting notifications from this forum for replies to our posts or PMs. I hope Alex fixes this glitch soon.

The 2nd thing is that one of our smoke alarms went off. I pressed the reset button & it stopped but went off again shortly after. I 1st thought maybe someone was smoking in one of the next-door apartments but after the 3rd time I decided to call 911. The fire department came & checked things out. They said the carbon monoxide detector on the alarm in the main bedroom was acting up. Those things can be overly sensitive. It went off a few weeks or a month ago too but stopped after I pressed the reset button. The fire department took it down & me or my girlfriend will need to contact property management. She's lucky this happened while she was at her parents for the weekend. Something similar happened last year with the one in our living room & that one wasn't that long after they had gotten replaced because some of them were chirping until I took the batteries out. They may of been old & maintenance decided to replace all 5 of our alarms.

I was miserable last night because I have a cold and couldn't sleep until dawn. I felt really hot and feverish and every few minutes I had to get up to pee and would still feel like I needed to go. That was possibly from anxiety and not from the cold itself.

I also used up the Tylenol I had, and I'm nearly out of aspirin. Which means I will have to drag myself to the store to get more of it.

Kool aid, to be exact, those who drink the Kool aid and make life miserable for the rest. Please, don't drink the Kool aid.

The aikido instructor said that a car caused him to crash his bike.

He said that the car did not touch him, but he had to choose between crashing into the car is crashing into a parked car. So he chooses parked car.

He said he got 500 bucks of medical bills. He said that the driver agreed to pay.

He said he forgave her immediately.

Makes me feel guilty, because I have held numerous intense grudges for years.

And none of them was as justified as the bike crash

SCE shut down power lines in my area to prevent wildfires during the current Santa Ana winds event.

The winds are stirring up dust and pollen, triggering my allergies.

Semis are pulled over to keep from being blown over.

:(

Watching someone in my family have their heart broken and knowing there is nothing I can do.

OMG and a friend lost her 34 (correction) year old nephew today. Married with 6 week old daughter. Oh my God.

My family back home in Georgia have to power or water and they will be without for weeks. :(

I'm lucky I wasn't effected by the hurricane but I can't help but feel bad for them.

Thanks, Fnord. I'm reeling. I know his parents as well, although I'm closer to his aunt. Heart attack. Age 34 with a wife and newborn. Life is so precious. Hug those you love, people. :( (sorry for typing 24 at first in my shock).
