I sent you a PM. It turns out that one of the detectors was old and defective, so because it was hardwired into the electricity it sent a signal to all the other ones. All fixed. No C02, and the bad one was removed for me. I'm all safe 8) .
Thanks, Korts.
I'm glad it's fixed. Those things can sure be a pain. A few years ago some of ours were beeping & they quit 1ce I took the batteries out. They started beeping months apart & putting new batteries in didn't make a difference. We just left it like that till we had an inspection & the woman pressed the test/reset button on one of the screwed up 1s & it didn't go off. She thought the wiring was screwed up because she didn't believe smoke alarms go bad. Maintenance came & replaced all of them & they all worked after that. Least year the carbon monoxide detector kept going off one one of them, we pressed the reset button & it stopped for abit & then started again. It kept doing that so I called property management & they called the fire department. The fire department took it down & said the carbon monoxide detector was broken. I told property management & maintenance replaced the smoke alarm. A couple weeks ago, another smoke alarm's carbon monoxide detector went off late at night. I pressed the reset button & it went off again after alittle bit. I called the fire department after a couple times of that. The fire department said the carbon monoxide detector was broken like the last one & they took it down. The woman who said smoke alarms don't go bad didn't have a damn clue what the hell she was talking about. These things are very problematic. I wonder if the neighbors smoking which comes into our place sometimes, screws them up.

What made me unhappy today is that it's kind of rainy. I walked my girlfriend to the bus stop so she could spend the weekend with her brother. I would of done some other walking after that but it was raining lightly on the way to the stop so I went home after she got on the bus. I made it back rite before the rain picked up.

Oh goodness, that's quite the ordeal! I can't imagine hearing it that often! My ordeal was maddening enough and it only lasted an hour! Thanks for sharing, Nick.

Hearing about oversensitive sewage-for-brains SJWs trying to cancel Halloween in the US and even Canada because it "offends" them and other incredibly stupid reasons, and replacing it with lame, boring generic "holiday". And some evil American witch has brought politics into it - naturally - by refusing to give candy to kids who don't agree with her political views. They're little kids, how do they even know anything about politics?

I am officially in hell.

If you'll excuse me, I'll be in the bathroom vomiting forever.

This reminds me that Steve Combert used to say(when he was on the Colbert Report) that he was against Halloween because it encouraged people asking for handouts & being on welfare because kids were expecting candy for nothing. This makes me wonder that if the SJWs which are liberals & the people against handouts which are conservative are both against Halloween, Why do we still have it. Oh yeah it's because they refuse to cooperate with each other to even pass things they both support.

I just found out Kurt Vonnegut Jnr died...11 years ago! How sad. here's me imagining he's happily painting away as usual. And so it goes.

I'm usually up at around 4 a.m. as well. I go to bed quite early though (usually 9 p.m.), so I still manage a pretty fair night's sleep.

I competed in the Spelling Bee sponsored by the Literacy Council. I did much better than last year, making it into the finals and actually had a chance at third place. However, I messed up and went home empty-handed again. I made a good showing, but it wasn't good enough. I don't think I would have won because some of the words were very difficult. I read a great deal on a wide variety of subjects and I have a good vocabulary, but some of those words were way out there. I'm not sure yet if I will compete again next year. It all depends on my schedule.

My nephew and his best friend were stabbed early this morning. My nephew is here recovering with me, having received stitches but his friend is in serious condition at a trauma centre. They are both innocent on surveillance video. It's been a rough day with police statements and detectives and hospitals. Please pray that his friend will be alright, and that my nephew will heal from the trauma. They are both like sons to me and I'm very worried.

Ironically, a different friend of my nephew's was murdered during a knife attack in July -- in a different country.

These were good young men just out enjoying the week-end, and they were jumped. What is this world coming to?

Prayers please.
