How do you ask for directions and other information then?Someone asked me if I was Filipino because I got a really bad tan from being on the swim team.
But I get asked if I'm Chinese more often. (Edit: Well, I do have some Chinese blood...)I know someone who's Korean, and once, we saw his mother and all thought that she looked Vietnamese.
I'm in a tour group, so it's all right. The hotel concierge people do speak English, though, and most vital info can be obtained through them.

We are on the bus, heading for HAKUBA! Right beneath the "Asian alps". I'm seeing a lot of snow on these mountains, right in front of me. Skiing perhaps, but...in June?
