In between I also went to the house my father built when I was a child, visited my childhood Sunday School, played with a five month old Golden Retriever, bought lilacs, and paid respects at my father's grave which is a happy thing for me rather than sad. When I returned home, two eagerly-sought books had arrived for me in the post!

It was a lovely day except for one woman wearing perfume which almost caused me a migraine.

Time to have breakfast as I've yet to eat.

Bravo! That sounds like a great day!

Went to doctor re my red toe which, with my diabetes, can be dangerous and I was scared silly. Result: I'm fine.

I called the Portland Social Security office and gave an update about my disability benefits.

My SSI is now renewed for the next 12 months.

I went to the bus station with my girlfriend cuz she's spending the night with family. I then did a bit of walking, went to my bank, & went to RiteAid to get some meds for both of us. I do need to wash dishes but I guess at this point I'll just get to em in the morning. which would usually be late at night for me except I did take a nap a few hours after I got back home.

I don't think John & Paul had come down from their LSD when they wrote that lyric - drank a cup ?

I heard once that Paul was on cocaine when he wrote Yesterday, originally calling the song Scrambled Eggs. That spoiled my love of what was once one of my favorite songs. Ugh!

^ Paul said that he dreamt the song in his sleep, woke and rushed to the piano to tape it before it might disappear forever as dreams do. He was tremendously anxious to get it into reality. The words Scrambled Eggs came to mind and fit the rhythm so he kept those words for a few days. I've never heard of cocaine being involved.

Yesterday is still one of the classic rock songs.

The cocaine thing could only be a myth.

^^ Have a cup? That's what we say at home. Especially in the morning when we can smell the freshly made coffee.

“A day in the life” reminds me of some guy who is rushing to work.

I cleaned, did yoga, went on a walk, and had my brother and nephew over for dinner. A pretty good day.
