Rizatriptan 5mg. Not sure it qualifies, but the pain gets somewhat intense, lets off a slight bit for a while and comes back. I guess you could call it a very slow pulsing, but I doubt that fits to the definition.
Strangely though, one time a while back I woke up with this twitch in my right pinky that was persistent throughout the day, which was followed by a migraine in the afternoon. Probably a coincidence, but the same thing happened Christmas Eve in like 2010 or 2011, where my nose was twitching in the earlier part of the day. Here's what it looked like:

Trying to forget I have a cold, before suddenly everything backfires on me and I drown in insomnia. Letting the fever take its course before I shed any more tears for fears which I may or may not have. Everything that was once unknown, will be revealed to me later. Whether I anticipated it or not.

Before one assumes, no, I'm not repressed nor abused to be unallowed negative expressions in my waking life. Yet one thing is certain -- I don't want any of it. I don't accept my own emotions. Sometimes, I don't accept positive ones.
I guess I want more than just not having external problems and worries to think about. Or perhaps I'm too young and inexperienced to think and deal with this, whatever this is.

the twitches could be related. clue your doc in. your story sounds like migraine due to the nausea. it would be even more convincing if the pain pulsed like a heartbeat. the fact that a triptan works pegs your headache as a migraine variant. are you sensitive to light during episodes? if you are, that goes with migraine, too, but is not necessary. nausea is enough.

Calm these hands before they Snare another pill and Drive another nail down another meaty hole Please release me
-Lyrics from "Gravity" by A Perfect Circle
Not that I actually use pills, and I use pins, not nails, but still... I hit just the right spot and bled all over the place from just a pinprick, and once I got that under control, I still wasn't satisfied. Please release me...
