Again, I tip my hat to you. I'm really impressed by your fluency. I have difficulty with languages when I only hear / speak them. My synaesthesia makes reading a new language much easier. I did very well reading in French and read a few French novels because Charlotte Brontë was fluent and she wrote entire pages of French in her novels (with translations in the end notes). That was how I learned. Maybe I should find an English author who writes passages in Tagalog?

Good night from the nonTagalogian, and thanks! :star:

prego, thank you and nighty nighty, but i'm not really fluent, that was just about all I knew, as I at one time thought it'd be bright to follow Berlitz' advice and learn just those essential things in various languages, useta know 'em in greek also. the languages with those stiff trilled/flapped Rs were tougher. good luck trying to find the tagalog books.

That's a bright and useful thing to do! Did you learn from people or books / audio?

this was before I was online [early 90s] so I laboriously asked the various polyglot fellow employees of the military hospital I worked in, for their input, we had people who spoke a united nations' worth of languages. there was something about Finn that made me smile, some of its words reminded me of the language toys might have if they were sentient. :D what I couldn't get from the people, I went to the library/bookstore and got there.

thank you :) have you ever heard Finnish spoken? my fave word so far is "kuinka voit" [finnish for "how're you doing?"- pronounced "queen-kahvoeet"] - say it out loud to yourself and see if it doesn't make you smile. :)

good :flower: another smile-inducing thing to say, is to try to imitate ricardo montalban in those old [stateside] Chrysler Cordoba car commercials where he extols the virtues of its "rreech corrreentheeahn LEHTHURR" in that mellow latin purr of his. :D

No, just your pink zoot suit that I haven't sent yet, a monkey dress and my french maid attire.

Do you have a God suit?

remember the movie Bruce Almighty where "God" [morgan freeman in the pristine white suit] struts about in his white finery? I have a cheap copy of that suit, and a white hat. hat, jacket, shirt, tie, belt, pants, socks and shoes are white. I should get a white wig to make it complete.

how often do you wear your French maid attire?

I wear it when I wash my dishes, or if my kitten outfit is at the dry cleaner. :P

My brother has a white suit similar to yours, although it's more of a creamy white. He wears it in Spain like he's a playboy.

:)

I love Morgan Freeman's voice.
