I'd like to visit LA one day. I'd like to scout out the places where The Doors hung out and the sections where the 1984 Olympics took place. I'd also like to go to an LA Kings hockey game, while I'm there.

Yes sometimes. I can be quite quick witted when it's a topic I know well and sometimes I make observations which people appear to find genuinely interesting and funny.
