I saw a tree outside that was close to falling down from the wind.
I thought there was a funnel cloud appearing above me as I was riding my bike to get snacks for my train trip.

I''m glad I don't get that kind of weather here.
I get earthquakes instead, and I've been too spaced out to notice one until the teacher tells us to get out of the classroom. Or when people start posting "EARTHQUAKE" as their statuses.

Actually, at Science Camp, they had to separate a building because it was exactly on top of a fault line.
What kinds of natural disasters do you get up there in Oregon?

Mostly floods. Maybe the occasional tsunami if you live on the coast.

Ahh... Makes sense with all the heavy rainfall.
Tsunamis are definitely a possibility here as well.

Consider yourself lucky. I went over to a friend's house once, but had to come home right away because her basement got flooded.

It's alright.
I've never actually felt an earthquake or been in the middle of other natural disasters here, so I can relate to you a bit.
I really need to pay attention next time one happens. Apparently, one happened last week. I missed it again.
