When I was a small child I was taught (rightly or wrongly) that the week starts on a Sunday but my daughter has always been taught that the week starts on a Monday

So this can cause quite a bit of confusion in our house
Because on a Sunday I'll say "this week" and she'll say "next week"

You'll have to send her to church so they can correct her pagan ways.

Me neither. It slowed me down when I filled in the citizenship application form because there's a box for the middle name, and I found out that if you write "none" in it (which they tell you to do in their general guidance notes for things that don't exist), then for example if you were called John Doe then they'd think your name was John None Doe, and that could mess up the whole process :? . In the end I left it blank and got away with it.

My middle name (we, Poles, call it the second name) is Justyna - just because my grandfather liked this name :)

I know that life isn't anything like how it is on telly and I'm also fully aware that people aren't so one dimensional and easy to read as they are on telly but I wish it/they was

I can't think of a single subject at school that I liked enough to do homework for

I seriously don't know how I got away with doing absolutely nothing during my school years...but I did

They mustn't have taken education seriously in them days that's all I can say

I think for a lot of people, schools, especially primary or secondary, can function as holding pens for children rather than being genuinely productive learning environments.
