I sometimes feel like writing "left" and "right" on my shoes but I don't know my left from my right

I received a CD today in the post that I'd bought. It's the first time I've bought a CD in...I don't know how long. I really can't remember the last time I bought a CD.

Paragliding has never appealed to me but parachuting out of a plane has

Oh, they're fun, but they cost money. I've still got my vinyl LPs with big 12-inch pictures on them.

I had the cassette of that, but it had to be replaced because the first copy was faulty. I had the vinyl of The Planets by Holst as well. Wouldn't have bought it new, but it was cheap second hand. Somebody had written "Barbara" on the top right of the inner sleeve. I figured that was the name of the original owner. Funny the things you remember.

Oh yeah good old Barb
I wonder what ever happened to her

I also had Wish You Were Here on vinyl as well
I bought it from the indoor market in Hyde

Just round the corner from Harold Shipmans surgery as it happens

I couldn't afford all the records I wanted, even second hand, in those days. But I got the mp3s of Wish You Were Here for nowt in 2021. I bought the vinyl of a single - One Of These Days / Fearless - in the 1970s. A bloke I knew was shocked and said "That's weird, Pink Floyd don't do singles except for See Emily Play." My girlfriend bought the Obscured By Clouds album, and we saw a film of it, if I remember right.

I learned to spell better since I started coming here

I can remember when people used to tease me (jokingly) a few years ago about my spelling

But look at me now

I know 9 letter words and everything
