Well you should get some naked juice smoothies, those work quite nicely for a hangover cure or I suppose a home-made smoothie would work alright. At least it will put some nutrients back in your body and you can just drink it. Also it helps if you drink some water between alcoholic drinks.

my prevention is to drink as many glasses of water as drinks. then before bed have two aspirin with a glass of water. still don't recommend overdoing it often. long-term side effects are killers - literally.

IDk I think it is risky to take aspirin if there is alcohol in your system. I certainly like the smoothie method better because really alcohol is dehydrating so getting some liquid and nutrients certainly diminishes it. Other then that I might drink some tea....no matter what kind a warm cup of tea is certainly soothing.

But of course I really only take asprin for extra severe period cramps or if I get a really bad headache, basically if its not something unbearable I always try to use natural methods first.

if you take aspirin or other NSAIDs such as advil and alleve often with unsafe amounts of alcohol you can get a bleeding stomach ulcer. if you take tylenol with alcohol, you'll likely hurt your liver.

If I finish my associate's degree and then take and hopefully pass a Civil Service exam, maybe I can finally get a paid job in a library or an office and then things will work out for me hopefully.

Sounds like a great idea sweet pea.

I love craft work - it is so relaxing.

What could be better than making money from a hobby.

Fabulous. :D

I've got to get my address changed on my State ID. Also, I need to get my ring inspected within the next two weeks.

it's not over the top at all. as a physician, i saw many who died of too much alcohol, a few acutely and many chronically. alcohol is the third leading lifestyle cause of death in the US after smoking and obesity.

I have seen similar arguments from drug rehabilitation workers as well...the problem is that as a Phsician you would of seen the worst of the worst. Therefore you would of gained the view that a disproportianate ammount of alcohol users suffer from health problems or die as a result of alcohol related symptoms. Why would someone of come to you about alcohol related problems if they drank within recommendations and suffered no alcohol related problems as do the vast majority of alcohol users?

In the UK in 2015 , 8760 people died as a result of alcohol related problems like cirhosis of the liver.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulation ... eredin2015

In the UK in 2014 , a total of 117,000 deaths were considered avoidable like alcohol related deaths.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulation ... wales/2014

In 2014 , 17% of the total drinkers in the UK were considered to be drinking at hazardous levels...

Is a comment warning about the abuse of alcohol really not over the top when such a comment applies to less than one in five alcohol users?

one in five is a lot. means you likely know a few who could benefit from the info. safe drinking is seven drinks per week for a woman, 14 for a man. cut that in half once you hit 65. women no more than 3 per session, men no more than five.
