He's a character from the game Team Fortress 2. It's a pretty funny game, although it's not as amazing and "intellectual" (a.k.a. nerdy) as Portal.
Basically, you mindlessly shoot people.

And as for OChem, I simply became a bit bored with reading the remainder of the Discworld series. I have quite a few pages of poorly written notes that MSOneNote can somehow recognize.

On a different note, I finally got an unabridged version of LotR from the library today!

Yep, there are tons of blood effects, and you can see people being blown to bits. Sometimes, when your character dies by being blown up, the buffering screen points to your body parts like this:

Really, both OChem and Discworld were simply means of running away from Algorithm Design I and Cryptography with excuses of, "major applications," and, "literary compensation."

That game takes blood and gore very lightly, though, an example being the above image.

I have several textbooks simply because I now have a library card and am seeking a return to chemistry-related subjects (and am running away from other non-credit topics, such as the aforementioned Algorithm Design I and Cryptography), so just for fun would be a good description.
