Yeah it's time for a new one then

I've got two toasters me

A yellow one which we used now and a pink in which is still in the box

And they both came with a matching kettle

I am the very model of a modern Major-General.

My two toasters - this old one as well as the new one - are white.

Generally practically all cool things we own, are my contest winnings :)

I've had the same kettle for over 20 years now. It's a trooper. About 7 years ago the switch you press to boil it broke off and since then I've had to switch it on by poking a stick inside through the hole. That's probably dangerous but its a wooden stick so I reckon that's okay. We've been together so long that I can't bring myself to replace it.

I have a keetle that is my contest winning too and there are two other keetles - also the winnings - that await the time when our old keetle is already broken.

I LOVE reading famous people's diaries. Now I am reading Polina Zherebtsova's "Chechen Diaries".

It's almost like in Polish - a beaver in my language is bóbr (pronounced as boo-bhr).

And I in turn, when I see a dachshund, I cheerfully shout "ovary!" because the Polish terms for a dachshund and an ovary are almost the same and that's why we always call dachshunds "ovaries" for fun.

That man's enthusiasm created a meme.

When I was visiting my uncle some time ago, I noticed his neighbors have a doormat with a the silhouette of a dachshund and the caption that says "don't step on my wiener" in English.
