A pretty song, based on a Medieval text.

Oh the passenger
He rides and he rides
He looks through his window
What does he see?
He sees the sided hollow sky
He see the stars come out tonight
He sees the city's ripped backsides
He sees the winding ocean drive
And everything was made for you and me
All of it was made for you and me
'cause it just belongs to you and me
So let's take a ride and see what's mine

Suicide Commando "Menschenfresser"
(I am well aware how cheesy these guys look/act in their videos, but they still have a few decent songs)

That video really confused the hell out of me at first  But was cool.

I like quite a bit of Norwegian Music.

This is Lumsk which is a mostly folk-based metal.

This is a folk song used in a 2011 Sci-Fi Film

^^, That's impressive. I'm afraid you've been terribly deceived by the Sci-Fi film song, though ^^ That's what desperate and uncreative Norwegians can come up with on a Hollywood set, it's no more folk than a Norwegian flop entry for the Eurovision 1980 :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9xLMWBZh_Q It's a improvised Samii (indigenous people) song, a "joik", that starts on 1:17

I quite like Suicide Commando but had never been aware that he/they look/act cheesy; I never went looking for the videos and things like that don't get shown on TV in the UK (not that I even watch TV). Now I gotta go look.

Yes, I was somewhat ignorant of the songs origin. I knew about Kjelsberg & Hætta, but assumed they were singing an older song.

This is maybe the band I liked most, so far. So many really good songs. The singer has such a great quality to his voice. Sad the guitarist passed away.

Yes. Suicide. Pretty sad, he was an extraordinary talent.. And that band, and the singer, is from the northernmost parts of Norway. That is pretty interesting (it is somewhat remote and quiet, in a relative sense), probably the reason why their songs have such character. They beat their southern, antagonist comrades in Norway superbly in their practice.
