I confess to Almighty Aspie that I'm high on energy drinks & that I'm writing this as fast as I can.

I confess that if I was a "real" friend, I would recognize this and stop replying so you could get some sleep. But alas, I am addicted too and am alone in a hotel room with nothing better to do. Unfortunately for you, our time zones are very different and not to your benefit.

"Friends" do that.

I'm now afraid of death.

I confess I feel I've betrayed a very close friend.

I hope that's not from me.

I confess I got up this morning by mistake; I still have an hour before I should wake up. Thus, I'm going back to sleep now.

I confess that I'm going to blow a huge chunk of my housekeeping money on art and craft materials. Beans on toast for tea! :)

It is. I never cared if I died before, for I never had anything to live for (where's an autistic man with nothing going?); when one cares for something and one is given everything one begins to fear many...things.

Failure is the only thing I don't fear; which someone pointed out to me.

I thought that might be the reason. (I've always been afraid of death (with the exception of a couple years around the ages 9 - 12), so it's nothing new for me, but I understand why; it's gotten more intense.) I was hoping it was a more fleeting feeling (thus the selfish sounding statement); you had enough to fear before. I'm sorry that I've added more.

No need to apologize.

I gained another fear by gaining everything (it's just one more fear added to the multitude); it's a good equation no matter how you look at it.

I have nothing to confess.

I don't know if it helps to know that other people share the same fear :? but I too am afraid of death, not so much my own, but people I know. Sunnycat started a thread about it in the Haven :-

Thanks, Starr. I'm afraid I'm too irrational to find anything other than fear in it (...but I have to understand things! And there's no way to understand this, at least not until death) .

More like *DELETED*!

I confess I just had an extremely uncomfortable dinner with my boss and several colleagues. I did not go to my conference today, which I am also confessing. This was because today was the opening reception. Bright lights and a lot of socializing. Not my thing. So I go to the hotel where the conference is to figure out where I need to go tomorrow morning and the person I run into is my boss. He asks me to dinner. What do I say? I wanted to just grab a quick and cheap bite to eat. I ended up wasting two hours of my life in boring conversation. I try to get involved and end up saying things that are real funny in my head, but nobody else gets. Plus, they were eating at a place I would NEVER eat at...The Cheesecake Factory. My sandwich came with lettuce on it. Lettuce belongs in salads and nowhere else. I hate the texture when I am eating chicken, cheese, and bread.

I confess I am watching my post count these days, as the numbers are corresponding to my lifetime and I am being reminded of what went on when...

This is post 1984. The 80's rocked...except that moron president. In 1984, I was 13 and Temple Of Doom and Dune were in theatres. Beat Street was the king of the beat, their was a Search For Spock, and Tom Hanks had a Bachelor Party. R.E.M.'s sophomore full-length effort "Reckoning" was out and the Talking Heads seemed to "Stop Making Sense". Run-D.M.C. and the Red Hot Chili Peppers debuts were released. Weird Al was "In 3-D". INXS was in "The Swing" and U2 was battling the "Unforgettable Fire". Depeche Mode had "Some Great Reward", while The Cars travelled to "Heartbeat City". Bob Marley was a "Legend" and The Pogues had "Red Roses For Me". The Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship. Ahhh...1984!

Guilty pleasure:

Not so. The delete option was disabled, so I edited my text away. The post still exists. It may as well be deleted... but it wasn't. I stand by my statement of '*edited*'.
