M&S is normally expensive compared to other supermarkets I think.

But you get what you pay for.

They seem to be having a laugh with some of their prices, eg sandwiches. Still, I once saw a beef sandwich priced at £11.25 in Harrod's cafe, and that was 20 years ago.....

Maybe that's why I prefer Sainsburys to Marks and Sparks. But they're not all that cheap these days either. I suppose I should go to Aldi but it's depressing in there and the buses aren't quite so handy.
