There's worse things to get addicted to than bread though. Was it white or wholemeal?

There used to be an ad for bread that said "7 slices a day is the well-balanced way." Mind you, the ads got away with murder in those days. There was another one that said "A Mars a day helps you work, rest, and play."

But I think the bread thing depends on what else you eat and what you do. If you had some fibre along with it, and didn't have many other calories, or had enough exercise to burn off the excess, and got enough other essential nutrients, I don't see why you'd come to any harm.

Personally I stick to 1 slice of wholemeal bread per day (with another one later on sometimes), but that's mostly because I can't be bothered to bake 2 kinds of bread. I did once make a little bit of white bread just to make sure the loaf tin was clean, because I hadn't used the tin for a long time, so I just lined it with a bit of white dough (because it's cheaper than wholemeal) and I'd planned to throw it away to get rid of any gunk before making my first proper loaf, but I took a small taste of the white bread out of curiosity, and enjoyed it so much that I couldn't stop myself scoffing the lot. Luckily it didn't kill me and I didn't notice any ill effects.

I remember the Mars bar commercial. I thought it was a little ridiculous.

I'd be the owner of a 1965 model colour TV if I could.

You were right, it was lies:

Science and common sense caught up with Mars and in 1997 they dropped the “…Work, Rest and Play” tagline — replacing it with, amongst others, “Pleasure You Can’t Measure.” I guess you can’t really argue with that one.

Things peaked for me in 1997 and than I fell apart in 1998.

If it were entirely up to me, I'd definitely live off entirely with chicken nuggets, hotdogs, fries, eggs -- with rice, everyday.

Can't help that my own set of safe food usually consists of crunchy-salty.
Thankfully it's somewhat easy to find, easy to prep.

Whether it's fried chicken, potato chips or almonds and other nuts...
I'm aware of my potentially rising cholesterol tho...

My next option is anything soup based. Preferably something just as salty. And warmer.

I won a voucher for an online store selling leather goods - mostly bags, purses etc. It's going to cover the price of two expensive handbags for my mom :D There were more than 900 people who entered this contest nevertheless it was me who got the second prize

Those:

I gave up trying to understand cholesterol when they moved from saying "don't eat it" to "some cholesterol is good and some is bad." I suspect the dairy industry has twisted their arm.

I've heard that people who suffer from hypotension are given salt as a cure, to stop them falling over and banging their heads. Nothing is simple any more.

I have two meals a day, lunch and dinner. Even if I get up early sometimes, I won't eat breakfast for the sake of regular life.

Incidentally, I've dealt lower blood pressure for most of my life.

Until about when I started taking BCPs. It could be a coincidence because I was turning 28.

I'm not sure now.
Only that I do get gradual physical change throughout the last 2 years of my 20s.

It definately raised my blood pressure from the usual 90s/70s range.

The same with my weight; in which I've been underweight for at least 2-3 kgs, and most of all my body temp warmed up; now I'm just as vulnerable as any other women when it came to temperature issues.

Like plenty of my physical stuff are closer to a normal baseline, from borderline too little or lacking.

It's like I swap some stuff from other few around me; stuff I've been complaining at teenage years are becoming theirs at later age.
And what they're complaining at teenage years are something I deal only more recently.

Anyone else gets worse. :o Like getting high blood pressure, more cramps, more weight gain, etc.

I'm prone to both high and low blood pressure, which makes managing it tricky. The hypo strikes most when I've pigged out, so I guess it's postprandial hypotension and the fix is to eat smaller meals, which also has the bonus of reducing my risk of tubbing out. The hyper strikes most when I've not slept well, which is a bit harder to deal with because I can't sleep when I don't feel like sleeping.

I sometimes take my trauma and turn it into light hearted funny stories
It's my way of coping

I'm not actually sorry if this offends some people
