Try not to worry too much as it is easy to jump to conclusions at this stage. Your employer may actually be trying to help. They may not understand what you are dealing with day to day, but their goal is to help you. Put it this way. If they thought that you were not a valued employee, they would have let you go a long time ago.
So deep breath.... It may not be as bad as you think. :)

(A good idea maybe to take what I put and relook at the events to see if what I put makes sense. You may be right or you may not be. Just stand back and take another look into the situation from a difderent perspective, just incase you may be making a mistake. Only you know how things were implied... But just check you have not got the wrong take on things before you decide what to do. Actually going back and asking them on any aspect you are unsure of maybe a good plan as your employer maybe able to put things in a different and more practical way for you to know where you stand. I know it is not easy and I do understand as I habe quit jobs myself).

Going bar-hopping in Austin, Texas with a bunch of other engineers, and all of us being too “disabled” by our revelries to repair the air conditioning in our rented house. I woke up with more than just a hangover, I woke up all cramps, cranky and grumpy from having to sleep on the floor during a thunderstorm. There was no coffee in the house, and I had only 30 minutes to choke down a fried eggs some toast, and a glass of orange juice, because I had to give a lecture-demo on a smart security system and how to best install it.

Hypothetically if you weren't seeing one & then started seeing one & he/she said you did have something wrong; it would be illegal for your employer to fire you for it under the disabilities act. Even if you did have something wrong like a learning disability, there's not much that could be done to help you deal with it other than accommodation at work so your employer has nothing to gain by having you see somebody other than knowing what's wrong.

I emailed my ex.
I had forgotten that she killed herself months ago.

I hate being a toxic excuse for a person.

On the one hand, it's good to have a landlord who sees to major repairs. On the other hand, there are workmen repairing the balconies on the side of my building, outside my windows, with a huge clang-clang-clang and drilling noises and big boot stomping and, of course, man-yelling.

You can picture these "balconies" - they are the Z-shaped platforms with stairs for fire escape. They're doing the whole building.

Someone came up to me and insulted my glasses.

I wish Warhol wasn't cool cos he wore them for the right reasons and now everyone thinks sunglasses indoors = poser rather than light sensitive or blind.

People like that don't understand because they don't want to understand because they are too stupid, KT67. They are not worth your time.

I hate people, including people on Wrong Planet. I'm sure they all hate me too and would like nothing more than for me to "go away". Should I give them that satisfaction or not? :chin:

I had the same problem and I didn't dare wear dark glasses at work. But that's just wrong; if the light hurts then wear your glasses. You could say, "Hypersensitivity to light" and walk away. Maybe you could get a doctor (or optometrist?) to agree that you should wear them, then you could say, "Doctor's orders, it's my eyes." Most people only stupid and not mean but how to teach them?

Once, outside in the summer, I wore a hat with a big brim, and a stranger ducked under the brim to put her face up to mine and she said, "I can seeeee you!"

I guess people only think of what would be their own motivation. They don't think 'maybe there's a reason' I'm trying to think of something short to wise them up - maybe "Eye trouble." ? Or maybe, "Be afraid, be very afraid." Or "You talkin' a me?"
