No they're still there. Only a few more months till I'm 55 and bid for the older persons flats/bungalows.

Asda 'Zesty & Vibrant' white wine. Very cheap at £3.54 a bottle, but fairly nice.

I should be delighted then to be able to pick up a decent Bordeaux for @2€50, but unfortunately, I’m on doctors orders. Anyone in the same boat? Don’t even think about sneaking a few drinks in moderation; quitting completely is a lot easier in the long term.

Wine does seem to be very cheap in some other European countries, especially the Mediterranean ones. I remember buying bottles of Spanish Cava for around 80 pence and a fairly nice Italian red wine from vineyards on Mount Vesuvius for £1. Mind you, that was over 20 years ago, but even then the prices of these same drinks in the UK would've been four times those amounts.

Not much has changed in France, largely due to the glut in wines. Strangely, unusually good “small” wines sometimes go for ridiculously high prices.

I have a benefit that I seem to prefer cheaper wines...
For once, my taste is cheap :D

Have had some slightly more expensive wines recommended by others but not for me.
Champagne ends up as cooking liquor over here... really don't like it

Coors lite? Made with pure Rocky Mountain spring water, and not a lot else, it the taste is any indication.

Not that it matters in the USA, where they prefer their beer so cold, one can’t taste it anyway!

Yea, I'll be out there in the garden planting stuff and enjoying the sound of the birds chirping away..

Not slept much. Had a power cut last night which was exciting. On the gin and ginger ale this morning.

I figured out how to get FedEx to deliver wine to my dry county. I mostly did it for a hoot since they claimed to ship anywhere. The first box of six various wines was a bargain for $ 44 but after that the price goes up to slightly over an $100s and I can’t really afford that.So I will cancel my wine club membership.
Anyway it was a good muscadine year and I have five gallons fermenting.

Hi Babybird, hope all’s been well your way.
Here it’s been a $hit storm up $hit creek.
Family drama stuff.
