I'm trying to decide if I should go home for the night at my parents tomorrow and come back on Saturday, or if I should just go out with them on Saturday and came back on the same day. If I go to their house I'll get what might be my only chance to go swimming this summer, but I'll also have to drag my 500-lb suitcase up and down the stairs in broiling hot weather, and although the basement where I sleep will be cooler, the upstairs part of their house where we normally eat our meals will be roasting.

Well, I'm sure I'll have made my mind by tomorrow.

you take good care of yourself. that's all anyone can do. beyond that, it's just letting life unfold, hopefully, with as little destructive worry as possible. perhaps meditate?

I meditate on the periodic visitations I get from my folks in heaven. they visit me in my dreams. last time we went on a boat ride up there. :bounce:

thank you, the water was the deepest blue, the sky cosmic azure with a hint of stars twinkling in the background, the red rock fluorescent in its brilliance. my dad was as he was in his 20s, without a hint of his old age maladies, wearing vintage sunglasses [depression-era], naval dungaries and white button-down shirt of poplin weave. mom was wearing her fave white flowery summer dress [also from back in the day].

if you like a heavenly version of Arizona's azure sky and glowing red rock formations, you'd have liked it up there with us, riding the speed boat on the water. ultimate calm, coulda been going 1000mph and still it woulda been calm.

Aww, now I have to ask a Voodoo Queen to invade your dreams. Have to travel to Monkey Island again. Hope she isn't angry still from last time I "Cough" accidentally "Cough" looked in the "unmentionable" drawer in her hut 8O

See you soon! :salut:

Child soldiers

Child labor

Figures of speech

"Paucity of content"

"Precision of language"

Considering firing the current counselor

She keeps missing the point

Over and over

She says "what" instead of "excuse me"

That is curt, abrupt,

Then she acts like every time she has a thought or emotion, it is the latest greatest scientific invention

:jester:

And she has not prepared me to live "life"

Just "sorry" this and "unfortunate thing that happened" that

As if you could just expect "fortunate" things to happen

Everything is fortunate, neither or unfortunate

Way too dramatic

No good advice

She acts like she is awesome or something

She doesn't even know what a TI 83 or Python is

And she put "paucity of content" on the insurance form

:jester:

She didn't know what the Big Five Personality traits are, or neuroplasticity

She thought "mad" is an emotion

And I had to bring a dictionary

But I should not have had to do so

What else do I have to bring, a Diagnostic statistical manual?

:jester:

And I don't think she is as emotionally resilient as she acts like she is

And if she is, can she "help" me

"Can" and ""will" are two different things

And is the "help" worth 75 bucks an hour?
