Moving swiftly on once more...
This is the Berliner Dom ("Berlin Cathedral" in English). This actually has an interesting history to it which you can read at the wiki entry ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Cathedral):
These yellow tour buses sare quite common in major cities. I've seen them in a few places, most notably in Belfast but, of course, this is the Berlin sightseeing one:
Passengers in a water taxi plying the tourist route on the River Spree:
This store takes its name from the Ampelmännchen, the famed little traffic light, a cult symbol of the former German Democratic Republic. The figure has become so popular amongst tourists and locals alike that there is a shop, café and restaurant firm - the one in the photo below - (http://ampelmann.de) named after this little figure. It's a powerful symbol of the "Ostalgie" movement in the former East Germany. Much more information about the little figure can be found on the wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ampelmännchen).
I didn't go in (didn't have the time) but if I go to Berlin again, I most certainly will:
Berlin's tram network is amongst the largest in the world and the tram in the photo below is serving the M5 line. Almost all the tramlines in Berlin are in the former East Berlin, due to the remaining routes in the former West Berlin area almost all being ripped out and becoming bus routes instead:
A look down Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, in the eastern part of the city:
This is the exterior of a household goods store that operates in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal and Spain. They have a website (url]http://www.schlecker.com), but unfortunately this is only in the languages of the countries in which they have stores. I went in here for a soft drink - they had them (and at a reasonable-ish price too, which is better than can be said for most of Berlin!) but they weren't in a fridge and it was boiling hot outside so I decided to leave them:
A mixture of cafés, a big man's clothing store (I went in and bought some very nice T-shirts) and a McDonald's too below the blocks of flats:
