I survived, there’s that at least.

I was having this annoying problem where the signal from my wireless trackball would not get to my work computer. This was slowing down my workflow while working from home.

At first I thought it was a problem of distance but I realised that what I needed was line of sight. I tried changing the angle of the laptop. I tried putting the laptop on a table. I tried putting the laptop behind the TV so that the keyboard stuck out from underneath.

I even thought about buying either a bluetooth trackball or a wired trackball. My eventual solution was to put the laptop under the TV and then run a USB extension cord up the back when the end of the cord balanced on the top edge of the TV.

Sewed yet. another. reusable. mask. I work split shifts, so I'm going to need a hell of a lot of these things once I'm back full time. (Putting the same mask back on later in the day is probably not hygenic, and definitely clammy.)

I bought one of four textbooks that I will need for my upcoming summer class.

(The other three were not in-stock.)

I uninstalled, serviced and reinstalled a gas powered refrigerator. There was a dead fly in the ignition, now it's working fine.

posted a ton on this website (as always)
that's the main 'achievement'-
surely 'giving full attention and quality time to kids' is not specific enough

took a binaural recording of "jambalaya" performed by gerry and the pacemakers in the early 60s, took the right-channel vocal and isolated it, added it to the left channel so it sounds centered now like normal stereo. fixed the bridge in the middle, got rid of compression artifacts as best i could, levelled it out and restored trebles lost to compression. now i have a "remastered" old tune to add to my collection :dj:

if you do something for yourself, you must be doing it because it is important to you. hence, it is important work.

how do you transition from an easy, habitual activity to something less appealing but necessary?

i know you do that, since you always post about fixing things, or cooking, or other things that show responsibility
