I went to a celebration of life for yet another clubhouse member who passed away. His name was Edward and he was 89 years old. He lived a very good life. He was born deaf and he went to a boarding school where he was taught how to read and write and other life skills. His sister and her husband took him in over 40 years ago so he could have a good quality of life. He enjoyed bowling, going to the local wave pool, walking outings, and coffee outings. He was also very passionate about sports and him and another member went to three BC Lions games by bus and sky train three times. He also enjoyed playing BINGO as well. He volunteered at Langley Lodge doing ground management and cleanup for over 30 years. He got himself to his own appointments and to Stepping Stones every day.

I really don't think I have Aphasia.
If I did, I wouldn't be able to communicate in writing or comprehend others' writing.
That diagnosis was based on one visit to a specialist when I was both tired and stressed.
But how do you get undiagnosed?

I really like the idea of a celebration of life rather than a mournful wake.
It sounds like he had a great existence and contributed to others.

we have a $3 movie theater that plays movies just after they're done at the expensive place. and the expensive place has $6 mondays that include a free small popcorn. anything like those near you? our library shows a free (old) movie most months. or you could borrow a DVD movie from the library and watch it with your friend. may not be as much outside your comfort zone as your friend wishes, but would show a willingness to compromise.

could you maybe borrow a kayak from a friend of the friend who wants you to go?

how close is this volcano? i wanted to see one on my supposed-to-be two-week hawaii trip in 1987. i became psychotic and came home after two days. no volcano for me.

we have a free drop-in center here for folks with mental illness. they have a free pool table. coffee is free. lunch is $1.50. the local moose club has a pool table that cost $0.50 to play. you'd need to be invited by a member. boos and soda pop are cheap, too.

it may take some research, but some of these things may be possible cheaply.

thank you :flower: I owe it all to proper orthotics and spring-loaded shoes ["gravity defyers" (sic) which I highly recommend but with reservations]

Managed to fill someone in on my complex, NISMW, and made them know that I won't make it easy for them either to bait me or destroy me.
Made a sad lonely man a good excuse to see his work of art and, see that its me all along who fancies the hell out of him. Hopefully it won't need to go any further as I am pretty much a reluctant recluse myself.

Applied for my disabled parking permit today.
It can take up to 28 days.
I could be dead by then. 8O

and now?

the funeral was weird, never go to those if its not family - its very awkward
and the nb took the anouncement card, wth?

its a treatening week, so...?
hub wants to lash out, just looking for a wrong word

i'm the fault, all's my fault and that again,
criticising my every word &
when he thought that broken thing was my doing, he kept going on and on
and on
and the speciality,
words as anchors, trying to keep on top in every topic,
and there's
chaos
again

Yes it did, as based on current medical reports my organs and related systems are functioning on a normal level.

I doubt such phenomena would happen that soon, then again I've had my own medical disasters;therefore, simply be patient.
