Strapples is from the Windy City (area). I've been there. They have an even more embarrassing baseball team than we do in Seattle. George Wendt is from Chicago. :D

strapples seems remarkably well balanced (with the assistance of straps!) considering both his age and how completely f****d up the first few years of his life were.
most other sixteen year olds would be angsty as s**t about it, and they would be pretty well justified.
