^I was alarmed by the last episode of series three...
but I won’t say why because it might not be available internationally yet and I don’t want to do spoilers

Bojo looked pretty ropey on the BBC 1 O' Clock News today.

^...but if Bozza quits over coronavirus (or dies of it), that'll break our run of prime ministers quitting over Brexit! I was hoping for the hat-trick.

Happy enough with Starmer's appointment this morning. I am not a big fan of Rayner but i know a few who think quite highly of her. If he can get Cooper into one of the top jobs and have Allin-Khan as shadow health secretary then I think we are on the way to having a credible opposition again. Something this country has needed for some time.

^ yeah, the Labour Party needs rebuilding after the disaster of the recent leadership: personally I was hoping for Jess Phillips as next leader back in December... but Starmer has the potential to do well at cleansing and reforming the party out of self-indulgent delinquency.
Keep the Tories on their toes, and maybe win an election under his, or his successor’s leadership, sometime before 2030.

Hmmmm.....surprised to see Cooper being touted for top ministerial office - I wasn't impressed by her performance in the last Labour govt! What's become of Alistair Darling? He was the only minister that inspired any confidence, I felt, in the final phase of the Brown administration of 2007-10.

He’s now in the House of Lords, operating under the title Baron Darling of Roulanish.
He’s also on the Privy Council.

Lord Darling’s House of Lords webpage.

Don’t have that clear a memory of Cooper tbh... just a slight iffy feeling.

And now he’s been admitted to hospital due to persistent Coronavirus symptoms.

He has an all!

Well, if he dies there’s still time for the next prime minister to resign over brexit: if it came to pass would we still count that as a hat-trick?

With the hindsight of several days I’m questioning my own taste regarding this particular witticism.

One day I will wade across the pond and take up residence here.

I expect the villagers will roll out barrels of the best cider and ale, and provide a feast of fish and chips and a whole pile of pasties.

Been to the Lizard (the area, not that particular village) a few times. My family hail from not too far away, I have grown up in the Home Counties so spent a childhood up and down there for holidays visiting family. One of my favourite places in the world!
