1. I came close to being arrested for drumming on a subway train seat.

2. I came close to being arrested for kicking subway poles right after I just missed an "E" train.

3. I used to write poems to women on subway trains--and some even responded positively.

Well if there's only 1 lie it means you were close to being arrested. Which I think one of them is the lie indeed.

I don't think you were arrested while drumming unless it's a no busking zone. So I'd wager #1 is a lie

Incorrect. When I was 17, I was taken off the train and taken into a "back room." There they read me the riot act, and said I was lucky I wasn't "taken in" right then and there. I was really close to being arrested.

The Lie is #2. I did kick some subway poles in frustration after just missing an "E" train----but only other passengers noticed.

Wow seriously? like you brought an actual drum piece to the train and went off?

A have a Russian friend living in the US he said police is REALLY tough there and tend to use excessive force. I don't know if that's true but he's not the only one saying that..

Nope. Didn't bring a drum set. I "drummed" on the plastic seats.

Some cops can be a**holes; others are okay, though.

My lie was 3.
Parts of yesterday were very exciting (despite the concurrent grief -- what an odd day), but today was even better.

How would you know Isabella in a room of reading women?

1. I would be barefoot and twisted into a small pretzel shape of some sort, with a fuzzy grey blanket nearby.

2. The rest of the room would be topsy turvy and I might even be wearing shleppies past noon.

3. I would be listening to classical music in the background or on my headphones, while humming along.

1. I once met the "woman of my dreams"----but it just fizzled out because she wanted "excitement."

3. A very pretty and refined lady once liked my howls so much------that she came up to me and kissed me on the nose

Though I have had subtle smiles elicited from women on the train

1 is true. All my cozy things are grey because I love the cozy feeling of thunderstorms.

2 is true (as you knew)

3 is my lie. I don't have any digital music and I don't own headphones. I rarely play music when I'm reading and I actually don't own a lot of classical music (all my music is vinyl so I'd have to physically "own" it).

PS. If you wrote me a poem on a train I'd give you a peck on the nose, for sure

I guess I should have known....there is an element of "Sublime Grey" in the Bronte countryside.....

1. I had a crush on a woman who worked "temp" with me. She was a singer on the side. She invited me to one of her shows. She would only cursorily talk to me---but she dispatched two men to take me to the 135th Street subway station. This area was very dangerous in 1986.

2. I was asked to escort this woman to a guitar store, circa 1986. She was very nice, and we had a nice little chat. A few racial comments were directed our way. Ultimately, I had a romance with this woman's mother.

3. I took a woman who worked in a little concession stand to the movie "'Round Midnight." It was about a famous jazz musician who was a heroin addict. I took her home to the Bronx, and we made out in her apartment house vestibule. It was one of the loveliest evenings of my life. Also 1986.
