I'm trying to decode the little wiggly green bubble icons on the left side of the thread names. Sometimes they wiggle, sometimes they don't, sometimes they're green, sometimes they're clear. It doesn't seem to correspond with new posts or with my participation in the threads.

Does anyone understand it?
