Had another round of random arm jerking, this time accompanied by leg jerking. At least I was sitting down so I didn't fall when my legs started up.

myoclonic seizure or twitch......try not to get into the definition too much .

had these periodically coming and going . have attributed it . to misfiring nerves, if was having a healthy diet . incuding a calcium magnesium , zinc supplement daily , they subsided on their own , in addition stopped use of anything with caffiene for a extended period of time . Also reduced sugar intake alot . just my own opinion . and just a thought.

Are you on an antipsychotic / antiseizure medication? Some of the older generation meds can cause "tardive dyskinesia" or body tremors which are ironically similar to absence seizures.

I started to experience it when I was on Risperidone.

Please let your psychiatrist know what's happening, and keep a record of how often this occurs.

I don't think I'm on any antipsycotic or anti-seizure medication, although I think some of the ones I'm on mention that tardive dyskenisia is a rare but possible side effect. I know I at least used to be on ones that said that. I'll have my mom call my psychiatrist (I'm usually very hard to understand over the phone, so my mom handles most of my calls), and we'll see what she thinks. I'd make an appointment with my doctor if we didn't have all the COVID-19 stuff going on, but since we do, I'm not sure if my symptoms warrant a. taking someone away from treating COVID-19 patients and b. not only going out, but going to a place where there will probably be lots of people with colds, flu, and actual COVID-19.

I hope you can have a telephone consult with your psychiatrist, even if it's just a two minute "should I be worried about this?" conversation. You were inpatient for quite a while and they are mandated to follow up on your care, as well as your response to the meds. I agree you likely don't want to go out in public for an appointment but most doctors worth their weight will schedule phone appointments. Please keep track of how often this happens because they'll likely want to know.

My mom's going to call on Monday since the office is closed for the weekend and this seems to not be an emergency.

Can't have been much fun for the spider either as it wasn't planning for such a large catch!
Don't worry. It can make another web. All is fine.
Webs feel icky though. Especially in ones hair and with panicky spiders going "Oh,oh,oh" wondering which way to run for their safety! It is "Yikes! A human being!"
