This is a little random but I've never really looked up socialism and communism in Asia... Well now I have something to study!

So North Vietnamese and South Vietnamese have different accents? Interesting, well I guess most societies have different accents in different regions.

I've never either, except for North Korea (one of my special interests) and what my parents tell me about Vietnam.

Yup, just how you and I probably have different accents (when it comes to English), you East Coaster.
(Nah, I'm just kidding. I really... don't get what's with the rivalry between these two sides of the U.S.)
North Koreans and South Koreans have different accents too.
I wonder how Canadians sound like. And I wonder how the English and Australian accent differs from one another. :chin:

Well as a socialist I don't even consider most communist countries communist. To me they're dictatorships that label themselves Communist to get on the side of the people. :?

Well maybe there's so much rivalry because the West Coast is jealous of the East Coast. I probably have some form of German accent in my English since I live in a heavily German part of the US. Being Pennsylvania is home of most Germans.

Yeah, I thought that too. I wonder if there are any truly communist countries. :?

Psssh. You wish!
Ah, I see. Really? Your voice didn't sound like it had some form of a German accent. :o

California has quite a large percentage of Asians, and my city has the largest population of Vietnamese people outside of Vietnam, but unless the person has only begun to learn English, they will not have the accent. :P

Well certain words I pronounce like a Pennsylvanian Dutch like syrup. I pronounce it sir-up. But that could just be coincidence.

I'll admit because we have New Jersey that does drop our value but we are overall a much nicer coast!

I pronounce syrup two ways, just like I sometimes pronounce route two ways too. It changes with each time I say them.

Ah. How so though? I don't know too much about the differences between the coast than the fact that one side has the Pacific while the other one has the Atlantic. You also told me that the waves here are bigger and the water is colder. :o

Nice logic. :lmao:

Oh. Hmm... hard to put it into words. It's most likely the world's most isolated country at the moment, so that makes one wonder what's going on there. There's also all the stories of what the North Koreans go through: the concentration camps, extreme poverty, and famine to the point where it's normal to see the corpses of those who died of hunger lying on the streets, and the fact that when you do something wrong, it's not just you that gets punished, but your whole family (and future generations of families) too. :?

I'm not very good at explaining, but I find the country to be very interesting. I've even made a character who's born in North Korea in my little story/manga... thingie.

Yes I've seen various documentaries about N. Korea. I remember one where this man who was part of their military on the Chinese border escaped past an electric fence and a mine field but his friend died in the fence and he had to watch... It was pretty sad. :(

I would love to see one of your mangas! :D

I've watched that one too. :(

And Chinese border? I thought he escaped through the Korean DMZ.

Oh. It's only in the middle of planning. I have to plan every detail and improve drawing before I can actually start on it.

Aww I was hoping to see.

I'm contemplating over how I'm going to cause the revolution in my class government. Probably using propaganda and speeches. I don't know if I want to do a "forced" coup or impeach all the officials...

I apologize.

Ah.
HMM. I wouldn't know about making revolutions, but if you need to know how to persuade people (through speeches), I recommend reading the book I have to read for summer homework: Thank You For Arguing by Jay Heinrichs. Not sure how much it'll help though. :P

I'm checking our school handbook to see if there is anything in it against posting posters in school. It doesnt show anything yet...

Ah. Alright. I wish you luck! :salut:

May I ask why are you making a revolution in your class government again?
