So you mentioned helping out at the temple today.
What exactly did you help set up for the upcoming holidays? :o

I sometimes like to read the dictionary and write words and their definitions down when I'm bored.
Too bad I don't know how to pronounce most of them, and forget the words.

I really want to take those SAT classes some people take. Gotta prepare for them as much as I can!

Ohhh... yeah I keep forgetting about the different time zones.

Oh, uhm, entertainment. My brother's doing lion dances and I'm just doing... dance.

Congratulations! :D

It's by Che Guevara and its about his travels down through South America and the hardships and poverty he saw and how it turned him into a Communist.

Ah. That sounds interesting. Your friend (or whomever gave you that book) must really know you then. :)
I've noticed you quoted Che Guevara in your signature too.

Yes because he helped a lot of people. He was a doctor too so he gave free treatment to many poor patients. He also educated the illiterate. Before he did this there was a 60% literacy rate in Cuba. After his work, 96%. Now Cuba has the highest literacy rate in the world at 99.8%. He wasn't like most communists either. He condemned the USSR and didn't believe they were true communists, but tyrants.

Wow. He sounds like a truly amazing person. :o

And true communism must be something very hard to achieve, huh?

He was! But I would feel dishonest if I didn't tell you that he executed a lot of people. Mostly enemies or traitors. But in his defense he was in a revolution. He once executed two men of his for, to put in nice words, sexually assualting a 16 year old. He said they were pigs for doing such a horrible act in the name of the revolution. Otherwise he still was a great man and was still very caring to many.

Sadly, yes. That's why I'm a socialist because I believe true communism seems impossible. :?

Ah, I see. I'm against executions/capital punishment, but at least he wasn't going around killing innocent people. :?

I believe the fact that "all human sin seems so much worse in its consequences than in its intentions" would fit the situation rather well. (I hope I quoted that correctly.)

I agree I'm against executions/capital punishment as well. To me it seems pointless to kill someone to show killing is wrong and I don't see how one can kill another conscious human being for their actions. So part of me still disagrees wih what Che did but his good outweighs his bad.

There's also the possibility that the person executed was innocent all along. :?

They certainly do. :)

I'll probably start to reply more slowly. Practicing the piano.
