I'm back LOL

1. I've inhaled marijuana only once--had a coughing fit--never inhaled marijuana again.

2. The marijuana was a gift from a friend.

3. Something somewhat bad happened the same night I inhaled the marijuana.

Nope. It was given to me by a guy who didn't have good intentions for me.

You're correct---as per usual!

1. I once met a woman while I was playing Ms. Pac Man in Coney Island.

2. I lived on 9 Nixon Court, Gravesend, Brooklyn.

3. I had Nathan's hot dogs all the time.

1. I managed to relax and read over 100 pages of my book today, which is no small feat because I cross-reference every chapter with supplemental reading from my other resources and a significant amount of reflection on each topic.

2. I met the editor of my book at an academic seminar several years ago. We got off-topic and discussed childhood memories rather than our common interest.

3. I have just one chapter left in my book, and I'm excited to move on to my next book tomorrow. My next book is biographical fiction and it received excellent reviews.

I don't know who Nathan is, but I hope he didn't mind 8)

I choose 2. Gravesend sounds fun, though!

I did, indeed, live on 9 Nixon Court, Gravesend, Brooklyn. Apartment 1K LOL

Nathan's is a very famous hot dog place in Coney Island. I lived pretty near there---but I rarely partook of their hot dogs (too expensive!)

2 is my lie. If I met Heather Glen I would not be off-topic! 8)

1. I’ve only lived in a private house once (though I did share another one with about four people in 1982).

2. I was once mugged by a man who wielded an umbrella as a “gun.” I told him I had a nickel (which was all I had). He tried to put me in a headlock, didn’t succeed, and ran off. I was 16.

3. I was arrested on suspicion of robbing a grocery store when I was 16.

Wow. 2 and 3 sound peculiar but I think you would have mentioned 3 before.

My money is on 3.

Is it the second one?

I wasn’t arrested—but I was thrown on a police car and my bag was searched.

Very rarely are towels and bathing suits stolen from grocery stores. My friend and I were on our way to the beach. It was a long way, and we had only one bike between us. So we alternated riding bikes. I was walking when I was stopped by the cops.

About my late father:

Before he was transferred to Central America, he was stationed in Japan, which in turn, gave him a liking for martial arts movies.

His favorite genre of literature and film were Westerns.

He served in the US Army.

1. I shoplifted my first bra when I was about ten. I didn't have money to buy a bra and I didn't know how to ask my mother for one, so I felt there were no other options. I put it on in the dressing room and walked out of the store but wasn't caught. My mother never even asked where it came from.

2. When I was very young I switched the price stickers on two items hoping that I could pay the lower price for the higher-priced item. I don't even remember what the items were, but they were inexpensive sundries of some sort. The shopkeeper caught me and threatened to call the police. I went hysterical.

3. Three years ago I was accused of stealing a leopard print negligee which I had simply hidden under a towel display. It was the last negligee of its sort and I didn't want anyone to buy it while I checked another shop. They nearly strip-searched me, and refused to let me show them where it was hidden in the towels.
