I just logged on and saw my total number of posts was less than when I was on WP yesterday.

Has anyone ever experienced this issue?

My sewing machine that I got for Christmas is a piece of rotten junk. I can't sew more than one stitch without the bobbin holder popping loose, and then the machine jams.

It figures. They don't build sewing machines to actually work anymore. My mother has a machine that's almost 50 years old. It's older than me, and it still works. And of course, I can't return mine or replace it or have it looked at.

That happens when posts get deleted. Posts sometimes get deleted cuz of a whole thread being deleted or cuz of posts being responded to in a thread get deleted. Sometimes members request to have some posts or threads deleted but mods will sometimes delete for other reasons as well. If you haven't gotten a PM from a mod, no need to assume you screwed up or anything.

The heat feels very bad. It was only about 70 today(well yesterday now) but we live on the 3rd floor which is the top floor of our apartment complex & heat rises. We had a window AC at our old place but we got rid of it when we moved half a year ago because the lease at our new place specifically forbids window ACs. They're probably not allowed because the windows at our new place aren't made well. Our old place was a townhouse apartment & the building was over a hundred years old but it seemed better made than our new place in an apartment complex that's only like 6 years old. We wouldn't of moved here if we would of been fully aware of the extent of the various issues here. We were in a rush to move cuz our neighbors at our old place were playing heavy bass all day long so we could only use our living-room at night when the noise ordinance was in effect & then we couldn't do much cuz the bass would get louder whenever there was any noise from us at night. We don't hear bass here in our new place but instead there's some kinda machines running somewhere near here. Sometimes I don't hear it but other times they're pretty loud & run 24/7. It might be a quarry across the street a little ways. We're a ways from the road but it's a major highway & it can be quite loud sometimes. When we have the windows open, all the noise is only just a tad louder & during the winter we felt a strong chill by the windows when they were closed & the heater was running(the heater is only along the outside wall) which most likely means this place has NO insulation at least by the windows anyways. I can handle the noise OK for the most part but my girlfriend has sound sensitivities & it really bothers her which p!sses her off & then the takes things out on me like yelling & blowing up at me over nothing. She has MAJOR anger problems. She was like that at our old place too after the neighbors started listening to their bass very loudly. We were trying to move from there for a year before we were approved for this place. Since we're on the top floor here & only have one neighbor on side of us(their bathroom is against ours & they have a bedroom against one of ours but me & Cass both sleep in the other bedroom) & sense this place is only like 6 years old & a ways away from the road, we both thought that noise wouldn't be a major issue. Boy we were WRONG. The whole process of moving here was hell & I asked my parents for a bunch of money to cover the expenses so we are in NO position to try & move again anytime soon. Plus we're almost done with the unpacking & setting things up. We just have to learn to deal with the issues which is aLOT easier for me to do than Cass.
Getting back to the heat, I've been sweating since I decided to wash the dishes 6 hours ago. There's other kinds of AC systems than the 1s that sit in the window so we need to do some more research & make a decision or two. We'll need one for the bedroom we sleep in cuz it's the hottest room in our apartment when the windows are closed all the way(we usually have a window open some even in the middle of winter) probably cuz of the way the heater is & because we keep the door closed so our cat won't come in & we'll need a much more powerful AC for the living-room & kitchen area.

I opened my gift-to-self of a very expensive brand new hardcover book from a reputable bookshop, advertised with a beautiful dust jacket / cover. It arrived without the dust jacket - just a totally blank hardcover, and it's a texture which will show every fingerprint.

I'm scared to touch it, and I'm annoyed that I paid full price without receiving its advertised cover.

I don't see the coverless edition on any website of any publisher.

Frown.

I woke up at about 9 am, I was well awake and energized, and than I dozed off and got up at about 1 pm. So that was around 4 hours of wasted time.

What didn’t make me unhappy today? Yeah, one of those days.

Juhjuh-jud.

Normally I hate this band with the same intensity I did as a teenager, but sometimes... it's just of those days.

I accidentally hit my eye with my hand. My cat jumped on the kitchen counter when I was making my salad for lunch.

Suddenly I'm grateful for my cat being plush.

I burned my arm and broke my favourite bowl, within two minutes' time.

I'm such a loser. :(
