I saw a drowned dead mouse when I went on my walk to Tim Horton's just now. I walked right beside him and I am worried I might get fleas or lime disease from him.

HOT today; I live in California; over one million acres burned/burning in the mountains.
The heat in the air will continue until fires are out.
Hundreds without homes, lost everything, no time to pack up and save things.
I thank God I have a stable job and a safe place to live.
In town.

I told off in a mild way my brother for subtly insulting my sister on the family whatsapp group (which has her husband in it too)
Which they all do...
Dad sort of defended him lightly.. Humorously .

Mom went at dad unnecessarily ... She could have kept quiet but felt 'triggered' i guess since he does it to her
Dad said something about brother knows the joke..

I said always humour at expense of others
Fot the first time ever...
dad sounded angry at me saying that , it wasn't to you. Be grateful and mind your own.
Yet i dont agree.

I don't agree to let this trend continue when other families are ok to not make fun of each other constantly in front of others.

Why bring down ppl esp my sister in front of her husband?

My mom exacerbates things like this instead of keeping it subtle and that is not good.. It was taken lightly till she had to be so strong about it

Fruit flies in the kitchen and surrounding areas (though only a few right now, thank goodness, and my mom just cleaned the drain in the sink that gets yucky and attracts them yesterday).
