I confess that I'm emotionally dizzy right now, to the point where it's making me queezy. I sometimes wish that I could simply turn my emotions off.

Good fortune,

I hope you feel better soon. I know that feeling; it usually sucks.

I confess that I managed to scare my mother about ten minutes ago, purely by accident. I came up the staircase (in the dark, of course) and managed to become disoriented as to where the doorway was. As a result, I hit the wall with my hand - not hard enough to hurt or anything, but it made a rapping noise which woke her and made her think that someone was in the house. I went around and relocked the doors for her, but I don't think she's too thrilled (well actually, she's probably asleep again by now).

I confess I'm afraid of bugs because I don't know which ones are poisonous but I'm not afraid of any person and see all people in the same light: easily offended, overly suspicious and paranoid, highly illogical and irrational, and most of them are too dumb to survive in the wild. Welcome to the world of NT's or the ones I've seen anyway.

On a note: I may be bias to think that people are stupid because I live in the land of ten thousand (f)lakes. I from Texas and people there are generally intelligent with a few exception. In Minnesota the smartest people I've met are autistic. I believe there is a vast difference between social intelligence and real intelligence, the latter most people lack; the former I lack and don't care about.

"Usually"? Thanks, I'm somewhat better today. Or at least... numb.

I confess that the root of my emotional illness yesterday started with one of my cats. Her name is Luna; I was there when she was born, and I confess I consider her part of my family in a very real way. She has a most remarkable spirit for a cat; I believe she is blessed by Mielikki, who is one of the goddesses in my personal pantheon. Anyway, she had her back left paw injured somehow. It swelled up scary big, so I took her to a nearby cat clinic. I'm not sure how much I buy this theory [guess], but the docs say Luna was bitten by a raccoon. Her foot is seriously infected, to the point where she may lose it.

My emotions basically went :( -> -> :x -> Then something broke; it was like an emotional circuit breaker somewhere in my mind tripped, and now I just feel :|

Now I can't feel anything at all when I think about her. I'm not worried. I'm not concerned. I'm trying, but I can't even feel guilty over not feeling anything. WTF is that all about? I can only seem to analyze the situation with my purely rational side: She's being given the best of care. If she loses her foot, she will adapt. Everything will simply... proceed. I wonder how long this non-feeling will persist. I confess, I suspect I'm suffering from a case of emotional shock. Whatever that means. :?

You have cats. I assume you love them? You have a powerful empathy. How would you feel? How should I feel?

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Broken

Funny. I confess that I'm afraid of people because I don't know which ones are poisonous but I'm not afraid of any bugs and I see all bugs in the same light.

Good fortune,

Depends on the emotions involved; it can be good, in a way, if the feelings are good.

I'm sorry to hear that. That sucks.

I think it's probably natural to feel the way you do; you can only go for so long with overpowering emotions, and then you shut down. As you said, she'll adapt if the worst happens; in any case, she's being well cared for. There's not much need to worry or feel bad, no matter how much you love her. I love my cats, and I'm pretty sure that I would feel the same way you're feeling now. There's nothing wrong with it; it probably won't last for too long (a day or two would be my guess, but I don't know your moods well enough to say).

I hope you feel better (happier) soon.

I confess that when I was a baby, I bit my sister's stomach to the point she had to get stitches. In my defense, she was trying to drag me out from under the kitchen table and had it coming.

Post #2007:

In 2007, I discovered Asperger Syndrome. Missed my entire baseball season waiting on the extraneous bone between my Fibula and Tibia to grow large enough to completely fuse the two together. Found Wrong Planet. Got fired though. Looking forward to starting hockey this fall. The Red Sox won their second World Series title in my lifetime. You heard it here first. The New England Patriots went undefeated in the regular season, becoming the second team ever to do so, and go on to win Super Bowl XLII. This is bittersweet since my dad's cousin was the Offensive Coordinator of the 1972 Miami Dolphins, so it is kind of a family pride thing that they were the only team to complete a season undefeated.

Music from 2007:
Beastie Boys "The Mix-Up"
Good Charlotte "Good Morning Revival"
Linkin Park "Minutes To Midnight"
Nine Inch Nails "Year Zero"
Run-D.M.C. "Live At Montreux 2001"
Barenaked Ladies "Barenaked Ladies Are Men"
Björk "Volta"
Chris Cornell "Carry On"
The Police "The Police"
They Might Be Giants "The Else"
Foo Fighters "Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace"
Dropkick Murphys "Unspecified Times"
Seven Mary Three "Day And Night Driving"

I confess-I would like to have the problems the kid/boy in "Hanaukyo Maid Team" has. Especially the triplets.

No it was me. Your right about the conservatory, but I used a cat of nine tails. You just gave the corpse a good whack.

I confess that I should probably not post while I'm very drunk and on braincandy. I was talking about sex with squirrel girls last night for the gods sakes... And, um, some stuff that was probably quite a bit more "inappropriate" than that. I stand by everything I said [even though I redacted some of it], but it was probably a bit over the top. I'm always open and honest, but I guess there's such a than as "too few inhabitions" even in that vein.

[I probably also should not be posting before my morning coffee, but ah well...]

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Debaser

I confess I had to think of this song. :x

I'd rather listen to "Where is my mind?"

There. All better now.
