I’ve had moonshine but no poteen. Is it made from potatoes? I’ve heard it’s really potent.Good moonshine is best drank fresh, not aged. The folks that make it here have done so for generations.Family recipe.lol
Some people put ginseng root in it than it’s considered a tonic and good for you.Goes for around ten bucks a quart here.City people will pay a lot more for it.
I think some of it is strong enough to kill the coronavirus. :D

Feeling quite sad and angry about all the risky behaviour these past 2 very hot days.

We still have 150 people dying per day.

I only hope those who ignore the clear and present danger to people, especially the elderly, can live with themselves.

Weather seems to be greatly improving down here in the home counties after a couple of weeks of drizzle and wind.

22c with no wind is my perfection tbh.

It has been quite pleasant here too.

A bit of rain for the garden tonight but it looks like it is getting warmer.

Ma enjoyed being waited on in the garden yesterday.

Internet's now full of people being ableist about masks.

Started out with Scotland cos law was just in Scotland, now it's gone down to England too.

If you CAN wear a mask without severe discomfort - do so.
If you CAN stay home and avoid shops as much as possible - do so.

But don't feel shamed by all this anti autistic people stuff.

I'm so lucky I can wear a cloth mask & feel comfortable in it. And that I can afford that.

People need to mind their own business not count maskless strangers in shops.

Of course NT people think I'm pro-Tory if I carry on talking like this even if they know how absolutely far left I actually am  Cos it's been politicised by people who really can wear one. Bit like how people think I wear my glasses indoors to be 'cool'

Someone was even mad at a Deaf person for saying 'I wish more people wore clear masks with plastic across their lips so I could lipread'. That Deaf person said nothing about not wearing a mask.

^ people oftentimes look for anything to be angry at, or offended at, unreasonably -
and 'burn the witch' sort of thing at someone ...

because it gives them a feeling of righteousness and doing good,
that they don't have in their daily life. they don't have a moral identity outside of that or at least.. dont have
enough chance to implement it.. so they see something petty and choose that..

i think.

that's what i think of lots of autistic ppl on twitter actually.

Agreed. Good post that. I am often baffled these days at how furious groups of people seem to suddenly get at the very smallest and weirdest things, but I think you are right that it is just people want to feel righteous about something

Yes there are a lot of people defaulting to med - high emotional states at present.

The brain isn't built to cope with critical thinking and high emotion very well.

So it is no surprise that groups of people are not seeing the full picture or ignoring relevant information.

When we are on high alert we are ready to pounce like a leopard.

I have said for some time that schools should teach critical thinking as part of the PSHE area of education (along with finance, drugs and other things)

People seem to be lead by their emotions so much on subjects that it is not healthy or sensible to do so

There is very little in school regarding managing emotions or conflict resolution. All the basics we need to get on in life. It is too late once they are in jail, have severe mental health issues or are dead.
