I had a weird dream this morning when I went back to bed after getting up.
I was watching a cbeebies programme called "little robots", and on this episode the little blue robot was telling you how to do different things like get yourself out of certain situations, by transporting himself into films and sorting them out himself. I remember one of these films, the voice over on little robots was talking about a (non-existant) futurama episode where Bender is trying to get something from a shop in space where there's no air. And they play a clip, Bender's arm stretches and opens a door and his hands work like a mouth as a joke in the show. In each room his hand does different things depending on what is in the air, for example a nice smell or something. So when his arm stretches outside towards the shop, his hand does the movement of a mouth of someone choking in arieless space, but then he shakes his hand like he's shaking his head and carries on towards the shop to buy the food he wants. That's when the blue boy off little robots enters the futurama world and stops Bender. And procedes to tell him how to breath in space, he said to bender "you need "nitrous oxide" and then plugs his arm into a pump.
THE END

i dreamt i was in my late parent's house at night, alone and having a bit of the heebie-jeebies, as i am scared of the dark and things that go bump in the night. anyways, i had closed all the curtains and was crawling on my hands and knees beneath the closed windows to avoid being seen by whatever evil creatures were lurking just outside. althought it was nighttime the curtained windows were lit from outside by some sort of lighting from up high somewhere. there was one curtain that was slightly open on one side, and strangely enough the little bit of window that was exposed was pitch-dark while the part covered by the curtain was lit brightly. anyways, i was crawling towards the front bay window when all of a sudden i noticed that one of the curtains and windows there was wide-open, so with some horror i crawled up there and was trying to think of a way to remain low-crawling while still reaching up to close the damned window when all of a sudden a green fir tree branch reached in and was swiping to and fro, trying to find me, and then suddenly the branch whacked me in the head so i jumped up and looked straight out the window and it was my older sister, wearing a dark green pullover sweater and jeans i've never seen her wear before. for some reason, this made me gasp out loud [in the dream] then i bolt upright in bed, awoken with a start.

i had a weird dream in which my late father was his aged self sitting in a wheelchair, covered with a mackinaw blanket. and he was holding a coffee-thermos type of thing upside-down, and this thick, viscuous caramel-colored goo was dropping out of it through the thermos-mouth, in long ropes piling up in bundles on his lap. my mother was there, appearing like when she was a teenager, and she was holding our old cat mushi, which was very unlike her, as she hated cats, especially that one. anyways, the cat mushi was looking very intently at the stuff being dropped on my father's lap, and suddenly the cat jumped down from my mother's arms and into my dad's lap, and started rutting around in the brown stuff on his lap, making quite a mess, then mushi jumped down and shook off the brown stuff from his head, depositing it on the floor, and we all saw this and went "EWWWWW!" so i got some translucent vinyl gloves and picked up the nasty stuff off the floor and inverted my gloves to trap the stuff inside them, then tossed them into the trash. then i awoke. weird.

I had a weird dream earlier. I don't remember much at all about it except a knife/dagger in my stomach & a lot of blood. I very vaguely remember stuff being in the background in my surroundings but I only remember very odd shapes

I had a somewhat strange dream last night.
I was in the street with my brother and dad and it was night time, there was old music playing from an unknown source. The song "cars" by Gary Newman was playing, well just that riff at the beginning. And I started to change the words to fit something in my own life or interests (actually real life stuff, but forgot which thing.) But then I stopped and started dancing and in the distance I saw a big pink thing in the sky with lights on it and when I danced I did so because of the lights for some weird reason. Then I stopped when the pink object flew closer, it was like a UFO which flashing neon coloured lights and it was really freaky. And it flew past me and flew under a much bigger ship, it was extremely big almost as big as a whole street and it had loads of lights on it and what looked like windows. It reminded me of the ships on "close encounters of the third kind." I remember being quite scared but when my brother asked what those flying objects were, I told him it was probably just new vehicles being tested by the military and they were going back to base camp. Then behind I saw all these large pink balloons and lots of bright things being set up, and it was for a firework display for bonfire night (in September though) and apparently the UFO's were some kind of special effect for the event and it was probably being projected onto the sky. We ran to the display and my dad bought us tickets just in time. We entered a white tent/marquee that we were going to watch the fireworks from, and there were christmas decorations everywhere and christmas carols playing. We were very confused because we were going to a bonfire night event in September that was also celebrating christmas. I tried to stand in a good position but when ever I did the cieling on the marquee was too low and kept brushing against my head and it annoyed me.
THE END

The last weird dream I had was last night's dream. The dream was set in the past when I was a teenager. I was walking alone to my cousin's house which is at the end of a dirt lane and quite isolated. To walk this distance would be 7 miles. But in the dream, I walked it.

As I neared his house I saw my old Thunderbird parked by the house (a car I had when I was in college). Then, the perspective changed in that I was seeing myself walking toward the house and car. I was dressed in a pair of long denim jeans and a grey tank top. A realization set in. My family was in the house with my cousin. I looked toward the door, and saw my cousin looking out, but my family hadn't seen me yet. I had to get to my car and change clothes fast because my parents didn't know about my tattoos. The tattoos on my chest, shoulder blades, and upper arms were showing.

I got in the car and was changing into a regular short sleeve shirt. A huge vulture type bird suddenly appeared at my side window. It was flopping around madly. My cousin had it gripped in a neck hold. I rolled the window down and my cousin said all was fine. He was just going to cook the vulture for our dinner.

And the dream ended.

Why did I dream this? Well, I recently did some reading on why we sometime dream things like this. It often occurs about recent events (often the day before) that we somehow twist around in our minds to make strange dreams. Here is why I think I dreamed this one:

*My cousin's house used to be my grandparents' house before they died. I don't go past it much anymore. But yesterday I drove past it.

*The Thunderbird---yesterday I was thinking about cars I had had in the past.

*In the summer I usually wear shorts, but yesterday I wore long pants (jeans) because I was going to be outside for a long time and I didn't want my legs burned---including sun damaging my tribal tattoo on my left leg.

*I saw a lot of people with tattoos yesterday at the place I went to with my wife (a wool and fiber gathering). My parents only know about the tattoos on my left leg and one on my right shoulder blade. The ones on my chest, arms, and other shoulder blade they do not know about.

*Changing clothes in the car---I had thought about wearing shorts yesterday and putting a pair of long pants in the car just in case I wanted to change because of the sun. But I just wore long pants to begin with. In the dream, it was changing from a tank top to short sleeves.

*The vulture---birds have been regularly hitting our picture window in the family room. And yesterday evening, a large dove was narrowly avoiding hitting it, and it was flying around in strange patterns up and down the window. In the dream the vulture was writhing around. Well, at the wool gathering, the first thing we saw was a man sheering sheep. He had the one in a tight grip sheering it---similar to the dream with the vulture in my cousin's neck hold. And, because of sudden clouds moving in yesterday at the wool gathering and sudden breezes, large flocks of birds were flying to trees nearby. We ate our dinner outside by those trees that the birds later flew too.

i dreamt i was in some conference room somewhere, it had wood paneling on the walls and maroon carpeting. there were wooden conference tables all around, and i was sitting near the front side of the place, near the exit. on the table closest to me, somebody had placed tins of yummy foodstuffs, totally covering the table. there were snack-type candy foods of all shapes, sizes, textures and colors, and all of it was YUMMY! i ate some and i was happy, but strangely enough, in the dream i was happier that i was eating food that was supposed to be delicious, even more than i was enjoying the foods' deliciousness. this might be because in waking life, i am thoroughly used to just cracking open a tin of whatever kind of quick food and just wolfing it down.

I really dont dream and if I do I dont remember when I wake up. When I do have a dream its fairly vivid and real. The last dream that I remember having was about a dog. All that I can remember is that the dog was tired and went to sleep on a blanket soaked in benzene and when it woke up it didnt have fur. We had just talked about benzene in class the night before about how it can pass right through the cell membrane. Weird!

another benzene dreamer, below-

Friedrich August Kekulé von Stradonitz is a remarkable figure in the history of chemistry, specifically organic chemistry.

Twice Kekulé had dreams that led to major discoveries!

Kekulé discovered the tetravalent nature of carbon, the formation of chemical/ organic "Structure Theory", but he did not make this breakthrough by experimentation alone. He had a dream! As he described in a speech given at the Deutsche Chemische Gesellschaft (German Chemical Society):

"I fell into a reverie, and lo, the atoms were gamboling before my eyes! Whenever, hitherto, these diminutive beings had appeared to me, they had always been in motion; but up to that time, I had never been able to discern the nature of their motion. Now, however, I saw how, frequently, two smaller atoms united to form a pair; how a larger one embraced the two smaller ones; how still larger ones kept hold of three or even four of the smaller; whilst the whole kept whirling in a giddy dance. I saw how the larger ones formed a chain, dragging the smaller ones after them, but only at the ends of the chain. . . The cry of the conductor: “Clapham Road,” awakened me from my dreaming; but I spent part of the night in putting on paper at least sketches of these dream forms. This was the origin of the Structural Theory."

Later, he had a dream that helped him discover that the Benzene molecule, unlike other known organic compounds, had a circular structure rather than a linear one... solving a problem that had been confounding chemists:

"...I was sitting writing on my textbook, but the work did not progress; my thoughts were elsewhere. I turned my chair to the fire and dozed. Again the atoms were gamboling before my eyes. This time the smaller groups kept modestly in the background. My mental eye, rendered more acute by the repeated visions of the kind, could now distinguish larger structures of manifold conformation; long rows sometimes more closely fitted together all twining and twisting in snake-like motion. But look! What was that? One of the snakes had seized hold of its own tail, and the form whirled mockingly before my eyes. As if by a flash of lightning I awoke; and this time also I spent the rest of the night in working out the consequences of the hypothesis."

The snake seizing it's own tail gave Kekulé the circular structure idea he needed to solve the Benzene problem!

Said an excited Kekulé to his colleagues, “Let us learn to dream!”

I dreamt last night that I was going on a trip with my family to the virunga mountains to look at mountain gorillas (oh for god's sake how many of these kinds of dreams am I going to have??). We were in a jeep driven by some tour guide type person and I was asking when we were seeing the gorillas, my mum told me to be patient. We were supposed to see them that day but we kept stopping at all these different places like villages and a gift shop. We were in the shop and we went upstairs, I was like "are we seeing the gorillas yet or what??! !!" I was getting quite annoyed at this point. Then my mum smacked my face really hard for some reason, and I repeated myself "COME ON ARE WE SEEING THE GORILLAS YET??" then my mum repeatedly smacked me and swore at me, then I hit her really hard. Then after that fight I suddenly grabbed on to her and vice versa and I kept going on about how I don't want to keep fighting and stuff. I then got sent home (I somehow managed to transport myself from the congo to my nana's house in a milisecond.) After a while I heard that they were going to see the gorillas very soon, so I rangmy mum's mobile and begged down the phone to let me go back, and she was having a go at me so I was crying down the phone and said "but you did say this trip was for me remember!" and I think my mum said I could go back to them. But the dream didn't last long enough for me to actually go the virunga's, which is rather disappointing tbh.

i keep dreaming of owning a particular plane and flying to destinations that i do not consider in the dream. most often, the dream unfolds without any real direction, and i just lie in bed looking out the window at the featureless ocean below, and the dream eventually fades out.

but sometimes i think that worries i have had that day influence my dream, and so there is a loose "plot" in the dream that night.

i will just quickly post 2 pics of the plane i dream of to show the setting of my dreams.

this is the plane
Image

this is the bedroom that i dream i sleep in while the plane is on autopilot.
[img][800:666]http://img436.imageshack.us/img436/3370/72762pm.jpg[/img]
(picture resized indeed ! !)

anyway, the night before last, i dreamed that i woke up and it was about 10:30 am according to my clock, and i got out of bed and i stretched and yawned and went to the cockpit to take over the controls and get ready for landing, but when i got to the cockpit door it was locked!!

somehow, during the night, the door had swung closed and it was locked and i could not open it.
the door is very secure, and i had no way of getting into the cockpit, and so i said "good frigging grief!! !" and i suddenly went into a panic and then i ran to a window to see if i was still over the sea, and to my relief, i was on my farm (which i no longer own), and the plane was on the ground, and i remembered then that i had not taken off the night before. thank god for that!

then i remembered that all i needed to use the plane for that day was to taxi down to the mailbox (which is about 800 meters (1/2 mile) away down a dirt track). so i lowered the rear staircase that descends from the fuselage under the tail section, and i apparently went to the shed and got an allen key to open the cockpit door (that was inferred as i did not experience every step of that procedure) , then i started the engines and raised the staircase and started to thrust off toward the mailbox. but, to my surprise, there were some smallish trees growing beside the track and i saw them too late to stop the plane, and i knew the wings would hit the trees, and i hoped the wings would not be damaged.

then a person from a house near my mailbox came running out with a pitchfork in his hand, and he was waving it. the wings easily sheared off the tree trunks, and so i put the plane into reverse thrust to back away from the angry man, and i blew him off his feet, and i thought "god! all hell is going to break loose now".

the dream finished there, and i woke up and thought about it for a small while before i started to laugh about it. i thought "how lazy and wasteful of resources is it to use a 727 jetliner just to go to the mailbox, and how the ear splitting roar of the engines would enrage the neighbors, and then when a neighbor runs out to voice his disapproval at the deafening sound, he his blown off his feet by me reversing out of the situation".

it was a funny dream after it was over, but while the dream was happening, it was a major hassle.
