Went to the clinic to pick up meds and pay a small bill. Then got two tacos on the way back home.

Sat in front of the TV and watched sports.

Went shopping in the morning.
Mowed the curbside grass in the morning.
Removed some weeds from the front yard after mowing.
Mowed the rest of the front yard in the early afternoon.
Fixed something to eat (late lunch).
Watched A Night at the Opera, I think the first Marx Brothers film produced by Irving Thalberb.
Played SCUM locally while the SCUM server was updating.
Played Baldur's Gate 3 with my sons till 8:30pm. (I was actually effective for a change)
Watch some movie history videos on the Lucasfilm YouTube channel (Irving Thalberg and The Rise of the Moguls) while I preoccupied my time with the WrongPlanet forums.

Bought sunflower seeds for the chipmunks and birds around my house.
Came home and did not open the sunflower seeds, but mowed my backyard. It still needs weeding, but I was drenched in sweat so I came inside to type stuff in the WrongPlanet forum and watch Professor T.
Ate a Nestle Drumstick as well.

(I was going to post this yesterday)

Watched my son print Dungeons and Dragons figures on his 3D-Printer on my phone app, all day. Sometimes I got to see his hand. There is a camera inside the printer. (I just saw his thumb!)

I did other things too.

I spent an hour and a half (approxamate) writing down an idea for the Rifftrax guys to commission Tommy Wiseau to write, direct, and star as all the people in the film "The Rifftrax Story." Next year is their 20th anniversary. Then I contrasted that with what if James Nguyen made the film? It would cost less and we could enjoy shots of Mike parking the car at Legend Films. I imagined actors from Birdemic: Shock and Terror, playing the roles of Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy. I imagine who would play Mike's wife and fellow riffer, Bridget Nelson, and who would play Mary Jo Pehl (she would have to play herself). Who would play Erik Peterson (tech guy), and the writers Conor and Sean.

The Tommy Wiseau imagining was fun because he would play all the roles, including the British riffers Ian and Matthew. He would don a beard for Kevin and Bill, a wig for Bridget and Mary Jo, and all his characters would sound just like Tommy Wiseau.

I had FUN doing this. I posted it. In less that one minute, I deleted it.

riffing
verb
1. Present participle of riff.

dictionary.com wrote:
riff
verb (used without object)
1. Jazz. to perform a repeated melodic phrase, forming an accompaniment for a soloist.

2. to experiment with a thing or idea, making changes that create a new and novel version of it (often followed by on ).

My partner likes to let his ideas quietly simmer, but I prefer to riff on mine in conversations where I can bounce my thoughts off other people.

3. to create, write, or perform something, like a comedy routine, using a common or known point of departure and following a previously unexplored tangent from that known point to a fresh or humorous perspective (often followed by on or off ).

My act riffs off famous love stories and adds modern feminist elements to unmask the absurdity of “happily ever after” in fairy tales.

The third definition is the one the pertains to Rifftrax. In the dictionary.com definition, there is stuff in parenthesis but I honest don't know what they mean.

I've spent the bulk of the day knitting. I'm working on a pair of socks. Got through the first one and started in on the second. Nothing major, just a ribbed pair. The joys of mindless knitting. :D

I unintentionally fell asleep on a bus, my water bottle is filthy (because some water spilled from it), and am now at the main public library of my home city.
