Cockroach
To see a cockroach in your dream symbolizes uncleanness. It also signifies longevity, tenacity and renewal. You need to reevaluate major aspects of your life. Alternatively, the dream represents an undesirable aspect of yourself in which you need to confront. If you dream that roaches are crawling on your arm, then it suggests that something you are doing is questionable. Perhaps you regret something you did. A roach may also be a pun on smoking marijuana.

I once dreamed that I saved the world by trapping a huge, hideous cockroach in my yellow sieve. But then we were both trapped. He could only be trapped in the sieve so long as I held it. Dream ended there.

Probably the same thing as this dream: I was being chased by an ostrich down the dark side of the street across from my teenage mall. The ostrich caught my hand in her mouth. This did not hurt but did immobilize both of us. Ostrich was as tall as me. It was a long time before I could figure out what an ostrich might represent.

Ostrich
To see an ostrich in your dream suggests that the dreamer is not facing reality and is in denial about something and living in a fantasy world. Perhaps, there is an unacceptable waking life situation? Alternatively, the ostrich can symbolize truth and justice
.

does the above description gibe with your experience?

The yellow sieve is my mother's plan for my life ("Learn to type and you will always have a job.")
The dream took place in my high-rise apt. - i.e. career success.
I saved the world - everybody else's world, the status quo, where nobody has autism.
The cockroach - the real, universally despised, me.

This was a State of Your Life Dream. It pointed out that I was trapped by me; and releasing the real me would destroy the whole world - mine and everybody else's. There was no option, so I was stuck.

it could be said that we're all trapped in our own ways, and only the silver cord can release us.

I had a dream (more like a nightmare) that I was sitting in prison around a bunch of inmates naked and wearing some kind of hospital gown while watching TV and I was waiting for a prison jumpsuit and somebody was telling me that I going to get the death penalty. :pale:

Today I dreamed that I saw my (late) father and had a chat with him. I dream about him quite often but I recall thinking how "real" he looked this time. There were little details about his appearance that I don't usually get to see in my dreams.

After he walked away I was in a school. I was a student, and I went to my locker which didn't have a lock because I kept forgetting to get one. The door was ajar. I went to my other locker (I had two?) and it was also open. I was embarrassed because I kept forgetting to buy locks. I realised I still had my shower towel on my head, and wet hair. I was wearing big clunky snow boots with my pyjamas and didn't have any indoor footwear for class. I had forgotten my homework and couldn't find a pen. I didn't know where my classroom was. I was crying and saying "I really need to tell the school I'm autistic. Look at how poor my executive function is!!" :(

I know that reocurring dreams of failing at school. Used to have them, too. Until a professor of mathematics from my uni appeared in my dream, as confused as I was, but he shouted: the school is wrongly organized! And I saw he was right and never had that kind of dreams again.

My today:

The Nobleman had three dogs.
I tried to feed them with some chips.
The first dog turned out to be actually a cat and didn't give a damn.
The second dog was a real dog but it started meowing.
And the third dog just curled on a mat and went asleep.

Just... weird.

that is my kinda dream, the weirder the better and more memorable. if it was a bland dream, chances are you would not have easily remembered it.

One thing that gets me about some dreams is how things keep changing. I remember one dream where the number of floors in my office building kept varying between three and five floors. It actually has two. It also had plenty of windows on every floor -- my office has a total of 5 windows on the first floor and 4 on the second floor.

I've had several dreams in which the complete layout of a building keeps changing and the uses of the various rooms. For example, a restaurant in an office building that a few minutes later is a gym.

This morning, I had a dream that I was getting up and was starting to pull on my clothes. All of a sudden, the bedroom was very large (about the size of a large quonset hut), had a concrete floor mostly covered in oil, and there were several women at the other end of the room sitting on a sofa talking. The in the blink of an eye, there was a concrete partition between us. It went on from there -- every second or two, something changed. Different fenestration. Different use of the room. Different decorations. Different furniture. Different room size. Different shape. Different people in it.

A little later, I was standing outside the house talking to someone I grew up with and he remarked about how he doesn't understand the layout of the house. I agreed with him.

^^^ Jurgen Ziewe wrote two books that touched upon the fragile reality of dreams, "multidimensional man" and "vistas of infinity." :study:

On Kuiper Belt there was a curious complex structure (natural) where electric currents induced were so strong that thay heated the structure and the mean surface temperature was just -2°C (just below the freezing point of water).
I was experimenting with colonization of it.

I had two interesting dreams this morning.

The first was almost like a movie in terms of a science fiction like storyline. In the dream, we were being attacked by aliens and we found out that there was a completely different intelligent civilization on Earth that had split from ours more than ten thousand of years ago. While our civilization had progressed in terms of technology, the other civilization was not technological at all. Instead, they were very much more natural in how they dealt with life. They also had supernatural powers that helped them stay hidden from us. They joined with us to fight the aliens, each in or own way. At some point, our civilization decided to leave the Earth to regroup, but we promised the other civilization that we would return as soon as possible. The other civilization thought that they could hide from the aliens as well as they hid from our civilization and stayed to wage something of a guerrilla war with them.

The second dream was somewhat more normal. In it, I was eating lunch in a restaurant while working on a laptop and suddenly realized that I was supposed to be at a funeral. So I left and went to the funeral. It turned out that there were only six people there and I walked in about a minute before it was over. I reached for my cell phone and realized that I had not only left it at the restaurant, I had forgotten to pay. So I went back to the restaurant and found my cell pone and laptop and the bill on the table. I picked up the cell pone and laptop, left a tip, went to the desk, paid the bill, and went outside. Once outside I could not find my car. I went back inside and found out that two of the waiters had driven off in it. When I complained to the manager, he just shrugged and said that it wasn't his problem.

Last couple of nights have been mostly without any dreams, weird or not. The last weird dream i can remember was where i was running down the hallway of my old school, being chased by a...a.... well, the only way i can describe it is a sort of "dark entity". It chased me down the halls and every classroom i passed shut its doors to me. I cant remember how it ended.
