The anaesthetic used to numb up my dental procedure is beginning to wear off and now I am experiencing pain.

Should I warn the moderator that you're gonna be off your tits and not responsible for what you might say and do

Yeah, not good - I usually get a weird pins & needles in my jaw too, as the anaesthetic wears off.

I find that 500mg Ibuprofen tabs work well, spread through the day.

Disclaimer: this is not qualified medical advice!

I normally use Ibuprofen for pain relief, but I noticed that I had a packet of Co-codamol/paracetamol that is going out of date in a month, so I used two of those at the same time and then had a nap to sleep the pain off a bit later. I feel fine now. :)

Good. :thumright:
It's a bugger when it's present, but doesn't last too long.

I've never had much luck with Paracetamol so I usually stock up with a box of 96 400mg Cuprofen (Ibuprofen in drag).

Is Cuprofen the name for double strength Ibuprofen? I take it that is what you mean by in drag, i.e, double strength?

I'm unsure of what you meant, so if I am wrong, please clarify? :)

Oh right. That would make sense.

Cuprofen is just rebranded Ibuprofen, available in a large dose of 400mg. I don't think tabs labeled Ibuprofen are available in that size, could be wrong.

By "in drag" I mean it's Ibuprofen wearing some fancy new clothes - the pills are red and look exactly like Smarties.

Ah right, thank you for clarifying, CF. :)
