I did SLP as a child and again after my big stroke but I’ve never been able to find anyone who does adult selective mutism or SM. It’s usually referred to Psychologists as an anxiety issue but my Psychologist says I need SLP because there’s so much else going on with my expressive language (poor nonverbal IQ, no eye contact, echolalia, difficulties with assertiveness, mixed accent, and residual stroke issues etc).
The providers I’ve found in the past were all too far away but now they all do online services!
I can’t wait!
