i had another one of those "back in the army a day late and a dollar short" nightmares. i found myself in a big auditorium with a bunch of other army types, i had no real idea why any of us were there, nobody was up on any podium speechifying at us like they'd be doing in real life. we were all just there in folding chairs. the good part of the dream is that normally in real life, folding chairs are for me real torture to sit in, but i wasn't aware of any similar pain in this dream. thank god for that.
anyways, i was acutely aware that i was out of uniform and had civilian "leave" hair which was far in excess of the brutally short haircuts everybody else in that room had, and that the american military requires of its members- and i was wondering how was i going to escape this silly army meeting so i could hurry up and go to a barber and get my long hair chopped off, so i wouldn't get chewed out by some brasshole over it? i was sweating [in the dream] over fear of being punished over it by some spit-polished bully sergeant or butterbar. variants of this dream recur with some extended-period regularity, and each time i wake up sweaty and hot and bothered. i hate 'em.

last night had a non-lucid dream for once.

I was thrust back into highschool with all the knowledge I have now about social skills and whatnot. I still f****d up everything like I have, such as ignoring the soon to be prom queen's asking me to the prom and such. At the end of the dream I then get sucked into this pure white room with this sagely looking elderly man asking me why I didn't take the new chances I was given. I simply answered, "This just isn't me". Then I woke up.

gosh, that reminds me of something from that "almighty" movie a while back. not that you got this from that movie but that you seem to have been blessed with a chat with a high heavenly being. but it brings to mind a good point, that many of us who have made mistakes, if given a chance to rectify those mistakes, will end up making similar mistakes over and over, no matter how one tries to get it right, rightness will prove stubbornly elusive, which brings to mind another movie, "the butterfly effect" in which the only solution was to simply not be born, to have never existed in the first place.

basically. the almighty movies were Bruce Almighty, and evan almighty. Loved them both, with the messages and whatnot. Same for the butterfly effect. But yeah, you basically saw the same point that I got among others. Another one was just that I have to accept the mistakes I have made, because you can't change what has already come to pass. You just have to learn from the mistake and try not to repeat it.

Year after year, I had a reocuring dream about a blonde shrink, between the ages 12 and 19. She kept telling me to find that one group that I like, better than The Beatles. I kept telling my mum about "The dream about the blonde b***h who's telling me, that I'm not a Beatles Fan." I didn't have that dream after January, 1994.

Anybody ever had that dream where you're falling and you can actually feel it? It used to happen to me alot around the age of 5 (I was also really scared a burgular would break into my house and steal my nintendo) I'm not joking... I actually had a rare condition in which I could sleep without having my eyes closed... (unfortunately this put me at more unrest). Sadly I'm not joking about all this... I'm just a walking corpse XD. I also have a strange dream in which I'm surrounded by a dark abyss and standing on a clear glass platform, I slowly close my eyes but then they jam open and are shining a dazzling yellow... I collapse to the floor and the glass shatters beneath me, I'm twisting and turning as I fall until I land a heavy thud Into a serene white room with crayon drawings of all the major screw ups in my life... Then I start crying, but soon everything just dissolves into wispy particles.

defining symbols-

Darkness
To dream that darkness comes upon you, signifies failure in some work that you are attempting. Darkness is synonymous with lack of knowledge, the unconscious, evil, death, and fear of the unknown. If the sun breaks through the darkness, then you will overcome your failures. If you feel safe in the dark, then it suggests that you like not knowing about certain things.

Abyss
To dream of an abyss, signifies an obstacle that is creating much anxiety for you. You need to work through the difficulty and overcome this obstacle in your life. Perhaps you are afraid of "taking the plunge". To dream that you are falling into an abyss, symbolizes the depths of your unconscious. You are afraid and/or uncertain as to what you will discover about yourself and about your hidden feelings and fears. The abyss may also represent your primal fears and feelings of "falling into a pit of despair". Perhaps you are in a state of depression or wallowing in your negative feelings.

Glass
To see glass in your dream, symbolizes passivity or protection. You may be putting up an invisible barrier to protect yourself in a situation or relationship. To dream that you are looking through glass, represents your openness and non-defensiveness. Alternatively, you may be putting up an invisible emotional barrier around yourself. To see broken glass in your dream, signifies disappointments and negative changes in your life. Alternatively, it could be symbolic of an aspect of your life that is in pieces. A relationship or situation has come to an abrupt and untimely end.

Eyes
To see your own eyes in your dream, represent enlightenment, knowledge, comprehension, understanding, and intellectual awareness. Unconscious thoughts may be coming onto the surface. To dream that you close your eyes, suggests your refusal to see the truth about something or the avoidance of intimacy. You may be expressing feelings of hurt, pain or sympathy.

Yellow
The color yellow has both positive and negative connotations. If the dream is a pleasant one, then the color yellow is symbolic of intellect, energy, agility, happiness, harmony, and wisdom. On the other hand, if the dream is an unpleasant one, then the color represents deceit, disgrace, betrayal, cowardice and sickness. You have a fear or an inability to make a decision or to take action. Your desire to please others is at the risk of sacrificing your own needs and happiness. As a result, you are experiencing many setbacks.

Floor
The floor in your dream may symbolize the division between the unconscious and conscious. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on being "floored" or being completely surprised. Perhaps you have been caught off guard about something. If you are on the bottom floor, then it refers to more primal attitudes, the unconscious and/or sexuality. It also denotes failures.

Break
To dream that you break something, indicates that changes are ahead for you. You need to "break" away from some situation and change the direction that your life is headed in. To dream that objects around you are breaking, suggests that you are under tremendous stress. The dream could be a metaphor that you are literally at your breaking point.

White
White represents purity, perfection, peace, innocence, dignity, cleanliness, awareness, and new beginnings. You may be experiencing a reawakening or have a fresh outlook on life. Alternatively, white refers to a clean, blank slate.

Room
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. If you see a dark or confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation. To dream that you find or discover a new room, suggests that you are developing new strengths and taking on new roles. You may be growing emotionally. Consider what you find in the discovered room as it may indicate repressed memories, fears, or rejected emotions. Alternatively, such rooms are symbolic of neglected skills or rejected potential.
Crayons
To see crayons in your dream, represent some childhood memory or a period of time where you were more carefree. It is also symbolic of creativity. You may need to think outside the lines into more unconventional thoughts and ways of doing things. Consider the symbolism of the color of the crayon.

Crying
To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In your daily lives, you tend to ignore, deny, or repress your feelings. But in your dream state, your defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of those feelings that you have repressed during the day.

Well this dream was made last night

everybody in the dream were happened to be my classmates

I and a group of people I know were lost in hell

I was naked, so did a blond girl in the group

She is very shy and lonely, almost friendless

We had been wandering for time unknown in the cloudy darkness

then God appeared

He offered us a chance to return above

Everybody accepted, except her

"I was alone in the world. Everybody ignore my existence. Now I would be happier alone"

She had turned around for the first time, now with a black dress

then I spoke

"We are both abandon by the world, let me be with you"

Near the steel bridge to the Mortal World

My friend asked me why

then I answered

"If I am with her, I would lost my friends; but if I am with you, I would lost another me"

then I walk to the blond shadow in the distance

Her blond hair seem so weak in the darkness

Would she, another invisible figure among the crowd, accept me to her world?

Step by step, her hair grow brighter

.....then I woke up

She doesn't accept me

I had 2 odd dreams last night, I shall post the second one first, might post the first one another time.
I was in a shop with my dad and I was going to see if I could nick a packet of chewing gums without people noticing. I was by a back door and I held my hand out while holding the chewing gums to check if there were alarms. Then the alarm went off so I decided against it and put the chewing gums back. Then I tried to look innocent and people were wondering why the alarm went off. Then this man had been nicking stuff and he thought he'd been caught, then he went crazy and took a gun out of his pocket and shot at the ceiling then at a man and I turned to run out but he fired at me. I could not tell if I had been shot or not and I was just running extremely fast, my dad caught up with me and I asked him if I had been shot. He didn't answer and was stood by a vending machine trying to decide what biscuit to have, I asked him again but he just said "in a min Soph, I just need to choose one of these, uuummm...." so I shouted at him "get your priorites right! What's more important, those f*****g biscuits or the your daughter being shot??" So he said "you" and checked my back, and I had been shot behind my left shoulder an there was a hole there with blood coming out, it didn't hurt but I felt something there. Then my dad pointed a tape recorder to me and I had to record what happened so I can show the police (even though I coould have just phoned the police instead of showing them a tape recording, but it seemed logical at the time).

The end

Interesting dream.

I've had a weird dream last night; more like a nightmare. I was having a conversation with my ex & we started arguing. She threatened suicide & when I tried to calm her down she told me to leave her alone because I f#ck everything up & that I should do the world a favor & die.
I think this is related to some stuff I mentioned in a post on the Haven section about anxiety & OCD. Here's link to thread. The stuff is more relevant in my last post on it but I cant get that specific post to link  http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt138655.html

Hmmmm

Last night, I dreamt there was a costume party next to a train wreck. I was wearing a fat suit and had the most terrible wedgy.
