the inner surface of my skull's brain case is on my mind right now.

it is amazing to think that one's brain sees the sunlit world, but it is only in a portion of the brain that lies toward the back of the brain that is in the total darkness of complete encapsulation by a bony braincase.

all thoughts and experiences happen in our brain, and our brain is always operating in total darkness because it is inside a thick bony skull that seals it from light.

it is amazing how we feel that our consciousness is out in the world we see, when that feeling comes from deep within the completely dark confines of people's thick protective skulls where no external influence trespasses.

i better go to bed i calculate.

I have no clue what's on my mind. I keep zoning out. I posted about this in the Heath section. I have NO clue where my mind is. Let me know if you find it

Why do I always end up depressed during my two days off?

Maybe you need to change your routine?

I have been thinking a lot recently about change. All people change gradually over time, and I think it's rarely something we take note of as it's happening. However, this past year, I notice I have changed immensely. I feel different. It's very strange. Not bad. I liked the old mes, and I like this me, but the old mes were each so closely related to each other. This one has become something new. It's an interesting process to watch unfold.

You're absolutely right about changing my routine. I tend to drag my feet in that department. I've been meaning to start running regularly, went a few times two weeks ago, but its tough to force myself when its 10 degrees out and icy. No excuses the next two days though it'll be a warm 55 degrees. Tomorrow will be a change in routine also as I'm teaching a piano lesson and going to a friend's place for dinner.

I feel the same way about a new me over the past year. Maybe we're emerging from this 1/3rd life crisis my sister told me about. Do you feel a little more disciplined, a little more accepting of things as they are? That's how I would describe my change. A step closer, yet still very far from the me I'd like to become.

That's great! Changing one's routine can be a major challenge, I know, but the rewards are definitely worth it (assuming you're changing it for the better). And sometimes almost any change is good, just to get out of a rut. So consider this a bit of encouragement to go for it and stick with any positive changes. :)

Hmm, I've never heard of that. Interesting. I haven't particularly been in crisis this past year, but perhaps the change is a result of internalizing and overcoming past crises. I am definitely more accepting of things as they are--almost infinitely so. I'm probably less disciplined, though. I think I don't need as much as I used to, though. I no longer rely on discipline to keep me going.
I'm glad to hear you're becoming more the person you'd like to be. ^_^

Revving myself up to get around the parking lots at a breakneck speed as a means of keeping my thoughts and emotions under the surface.
