On The Road is a tedious book. I couldn't even get through it. As far as Kerouac goes, The Dharma Bums is way better. And Pride And Prejudice is the most yawnworthy work ever to sully the English language.
Courtney Love is not actually evil so much as messed-up. Has taken too many drugs, badmouthed too many people over the years, and managed to estrange herself from her own daughter, but she's made some darn good songs and no, I do not believe she killed (or got anyone else to kill) Kurt.
Watching 'reality' TV shows in which people who don't fit society's idea of 'normal' are mocked and derided for 'entertainment' is actually damaging to human moral values. We can't complain about kids bullying one another while adults are positively encouraged to bully other adults (and, for that matter, kids, on occasion).
Being fat (I refuse to use the medicalised and inaccurate term 'obesity') is, in the vast majority of people, a natural human variation. Its negative effects on health are vastly over-rated and skewed by the many people and organizations who have vested interests in making people feel crap about themselves so they'll buy more Stuff, saving government money by declaring people 'unworthy' of various forms of social support, and/or giving the rest of society a readymade, visible scapegoat it's not illegal to hate on. How people can be helped to improve their health is a laudable subject for discussion - but an entirely separate one.
Mayonnaise is the drool of Satan.
If you want it that's your call, but don't put it in my sandwich when I haven't asked for it.
Also, not unrelated to the last point above....Dick's Burgers really aren't all that. (ducks and runs as everyone in Seattle throws things at her...)
