Comvances and Grievplaints topic

Someone stole my son's iPod yesterday. I cannot locate any evidence of the serial number so I cannot even report it to the police. :x

I want to complain about the trees. Don't get me wrong, I love trees and understand how important they are to us in sustaining life on this planet by recycling Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen. However, I don't appreciate all of the leaves that make a mess in my yard. It took two trips to the Recycling Place to unload all of them and I am beat now. No energy whatsoever.

CockneyRebel, I must say there is nothing I can say
but you must remember that, knowing nothing about your aunt
preciousness
is known
and never forgotten

I'm sick of going unappreciated at work, we had a week of 'who's an awesome worker?' and my name did not appear at all - not even 'special recognition'
can someone tell me why I even bother to work as hard as I do, fully knowing that I get no recognition other than my crappy pay?

I'm sick of people not believing me when I say I'm having a problem, because usually I "do so well".
I'm sick of people making a huge deal out of it when celebrities put on weight.
I'm sick of people doing unspeakable things to their children in the name of "tough love".
And a whole bunch of other random things.

The mosquitos for using the pool to breed their young. That was a mess to clean up.

I'm mad at my husband because we sold a $300 guitar on ebay and then he insisted on mailing it USPS but didn't insure it so when the guy who bought it got it, it was damaged and now he wants his money back. My @$!@#$%$ husband works for the postal service and knows first hand how badly packages are handled but stupidly didn't insure it!! !! and we really really really needed that money!

In my experience with eBay, the buyer is completely responsible for the shipping. If you offered different shipping options, and he chose USPS, uninsured, it's his problem. If the only shipping option you offered was USPS, uninsured, and he bid on it and won, it's his problem.

The buyer is supposed to look up the details of the shipping options before bidding. When you bid, you agree not only to the price but to the shipping details and the item description. If the item was obviously damaged during shipping, the buyer has to prove that it was because it was not packaged properly - that it is the fault of the seller, not the shipping method (USPS in your case). Unless things have changed in the past few months.

Actually, eBay is full of forums and tutorials that are quite informative. I imagine this type of situation and how to handle it has been addressed multiple times in such places. Look under "Community". There's a lot there.

I'm still mad

I don't know what options if any he offered the buyer and he has already told the guy he would give him his money back. I told him myself that the buyer is responsible for the shipping but apparently I don't know what I am talking about.

I always insure items that are $50 or more. Make sure you get the guitar back and it is insured on the return trip. Maybe you can fix it cheap and sell it again. Or you could make a claim with the USPS that it was damaged on the way back to you. You will have to go to the "I confess..." thread and tell everyone.

My complaint is with the anime download service I signed up for. I downloaded a bunch of Naruto episodes, but none of them will play on my computer. The avi files will not play on Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or iTunes.
